My father used Visiting Angels. They helped out with his meals, in keeping him where he needed to be because he has Alzheimer's, and as a companion. They had a caregiver that was absolutely excellent, but the other two or three at the tail end of my experience with them, I literally fired them on the spot for different things. The excellent one kept him clean and carried a conversation with him, but she wasn't the most wonderful cook in the world, and it didn't help with his eating issues. The rest of them were not cooking for him at all, they were smoking on the job after specific instructions that that was absolutely not acceptable, and they were fighting with him. There seemed to be a major lack of training for the condition that they were dealing with. I was promised that they would help me with the long-term care insurance process, and they caused me to lose thousands of dollars because of their lack of follow-through and communication with the insurance company. The management was pleasant enough, but just not functional. I am not satisfied with the management or the caregiver.
