Excellent physical therapy, good visiting nurses, but very poor oversight of home health aides -- they just don't show up. No follow-up when things go wrong, do not return phone calls about problems.

I've used Metropolitan Jewish Home Care for three weeks. However, it did not helped me at all because I had to be home all the time. The aide would come in the afternoon and by that time I had everything done. There was nothing more to do because I already showered him, gave him his breakfast and his lunch, so it really was not a help. All she did was take him outside. It wasn't her fault. She was okay, but the schedule was not good. What I really needed was the physical therapy for my husband, and he received 3 or 4 physical therapy sessions and that was it. They also sent a nurse regularly to check on him. But again there was not much to do, so I don't want help anymore. The agency themselves is very good and I would still recommend them.
