I recently used Nurturing Angels Home Care of New Jersey to care for my mother while we went on vacation and what a wonderful experience this was! I was very hesitant to have a stranger living in my house but I felt I didn't have a choice other than to try, especially after our last experience at a nursing home/respite care facility who neglected my mother and treated her horribly. With Nurturing Angels we had a live in aide, Gelia, who cared for all my mother's needs, transported her to dialysis, and made sure she was comfortable at all times. In addition, my mother has a colostomy, is incontinent so she wears diapers and because she struggles with her balance and strength I opt for sponge baths, and Gelia was wonderful at handling the situation while putting my mother at ease and always putting a smile on her face. The day we arrived back home, Gelia even took the time to let us know how the week went and gave us all the details of the week. She even expressed how much she was going to miss my mother, and my mother immediately returned the sentiment. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I am so very grateful to Michelle and Jay for all their attention to details, for all their support, for their positivity and assurance that we would be very satisfied with the result, and of course, for bringing us Gelia who was an excellent aide to my mother. I now feel very confident, as well as a sense of relief, knowing that I can finally plan time away and know that, with the help of Nurturing Angels, my mother will be well cared for and happy in the comfort home!
