My Dad is my Hero

My Dad had sudden onset Dementia. I was looking at the best Assisted Living Communities for him. I found a wonderful one near my house..but needed something until a room was available. Someone recommended a home healthcare company called Aquinas. I planned on using them for a few weeks...that was MONTHS ago. I have changed my mind after my experience with Aquinas. Keeping my Dad in his home was definitely the right decision. Josephine lives with my Dad 24/7. If I had a sister , she probably would not be as good as Josephine. My Dad is thriving! He has gained some well-needed weight and is very content. He was easily agitated before. Josephine has created a perfect routine with him and that seems to be helping him a lot. I spoke to my Dad last night and asked him what he did. He said" Josephine made a nice dinner, and we did my word puzzles and are now watching the Yankees" She takes him for daily walks and listens to his stories from the past. She makes him smile and laugh. I can't even begin to tell you the comfort that Aquinas has given me. John and Matt have given me a lot of guidance. Nurse Karen has been very involved with my Dad's care. Trust me, I am not easy to please... My Dad deserves the best and that is what he is getting!!!!!

Our 88 year old mother has needed the assistance of Aquinas Healthcare professionals on many occasions over the past two years. Currently, we have 24 hour care from one of the Aquinas aides for our mother in her assisted living apartment, and we couldn't be more pleased. The caregivers are always top notch, and very attentive to the needs of our mom. They help with all of our mother's daily care, and keep the family informed about any issues. Caring for aging parents can be a very stressful and emotionally draining experience, but the professionals at Aquinas Healthcare have made it much easier for our family. They treat everyone like family, and that loving, human touch from Aquinas is truly priceless. They are very responsive to any issues or questions, and they go above and beyond any other agency we've used in the past. The caregivers have all been great, and our mom is happy! John and the team at Aquinas Get my highest recommendation for personalized service, 24_7 and very fast response to calls and emails and highly qualified caring and supportive aids. Our mom had a heart attack and needed 24/7 support while in the hospital, in rehab, at home and ultimately in hospice. The team from Aquinas was there to support us each step of the way and was there holding my mothers hand at the end when we couldn’t be there. We have been using Aquinas Healthcare for almost a year. Their caregivers are professional and have been very supportive for my wife's needs. The caregivers are reliable, even in bad weather they are here. The RN often checks in to monitor the care and services we are receiving. Aquinas' rates were the cheapest we found for an agency who's employees were fully insured. - Jack
