Visiting Angels of Jersey City offers assistance to seniors with dementia. What we have them do is we have the lady stay with my mom and keep an eye on her. If she needs assistance moving around or in the bathroom, she assists. This has only been a week so I can't tell if everything's great or not great, but we have to just see how everything else goes. Right now, they are coming in roughly 12 hours a week to start. Their services are more for companionship. Then if mom needs to be cleaned, they assist with that. So far, working with the agency has been good. Bill, the manager, has been of great assistance. He's come through the residence, explained everything in detail, and he assists us with whatever hours we requested.
