The best senior care in the Clinton area. Tlc took care of my parents for over 2 years. Lisa really cares about people's happiness and comfort. And the staff were the best! My parents stayed in their home until they passed away. That was their wish. Mom and dad couldn't have been happier.

Lisa and Linda go the extra mile we live 3 hrs away and they work with my sister in law who has ALOT of mental and medical issues and makes it very very difficult and they go above and beyond to keep us updated on what is going on they are honest trustworthy and keep their word.without their help we would have to put her in nursing home I highly reccomend these ladies for all your healthcare needs.

LEARN BY OUR MISTAKE

Our dealings with TLC were horrible!! We had COUNTLESS different employees over the course of the few weeks they worked for us. Each time they'd send someone who was essentially untrained or unqualified. Some of the workers were elderly with health issues themselves, who weren't able to do proper lifts or transfers because of their unwillingness or due to their own physical limitations. We had "no-shows" without explanation and then were given reassurances someone would come during the next shift. They lifted our loved one by pulling on her arm which actually caused a shoulder injury. The medical staff that treated her still wants us to report it! When family members brought their concerns to the owner, she declared we were being too difficult to work with so she said she was discontinuing "services". That was such a blessing in disguise!! We watched workers toilet our family member without washing their hands, do improper / dangerous lifts, roughly handle our family member (so when she's saying "Ow!" that should give the workers a clue they're being too rough), and sit and do as little as possible ---- but one thing they had in common was ----- they wanted to know where the pain medications were. Seriously!! They aren't licensed to administer pain meds -- the nurse does that. So why did they need to know? Unfortunately, Iowa's licensing laws are loose and most anyone can get a license. From that point on you're unregulated. The sheer nonsense agencies like this get away with is a disgrace!!! PLEASE, for the sake of your loved one, DON'T be lured into choosing this agency because they're the least expensive -- you'll get what you pay for I promise! To add insult to injury, they over charged us on their bill (thank goodness we had the foresight to keep track of the hours ourselves) and then harassed our family for payment on the day the owner decided to end services --- she even gave out our phone number to have an employee text us begging for the money. She claimed she wouldn't get paid her until we did and she really needed the money. Legally, you have 30 days from presentation of the bill to pay unless stated otherwise (and you've signed in agreement). Just another reason to turn and run from this mess.
