Provider Response

Provider Response
The software system we utilize is set up to alert our staff if a caregiver misses a scheduled clock-in time for any shift. When an alert is received, we call the caregiver to determine the reason for the missed clock-in and we then call the client to inform them of the situation. Our customer service process begins after the very first visit to give the client an opportunity to share their experience with the caregiver. Based on feedback, we either continue services as is or provide more training to the caregiver based on the client’s specific needs or any change in condition, which we continually watch for. If there’s an issue with client/caregiver compatibility, in that rare occasion we will make any necessary staff change and then assess the situation once again. We also provide general guidelines for cleaning based on client direction and feedback how they like their homes cleaned and what products and tools they like used. It can be a challenge at times to find staff to work in the more rural or remote areas of our state -- caregivers who have compatibility with a given client. However, with enough time and effort, we have been able to accomplish this goal. As part of our customer service process, clients are called regularly by our office staff to see how visits are going with our caregivers. We encourage clients to report any concerns to us so we can then develop a different game plan addressing those concerns including but not limited to changing the client’s caregiver. Clients are also asked during the initial assessment with the owner of the company to not hesitate to give us a call with any feedback.

Provider Response
Our policy is to call clients to confirm their first visit and inform them who will be providing caregiving services. We also proactively call our clients if there is a change in the schedule or caregiver. During the initial assessment with the owner of the company, clients are informed they need to provide cleaning supplies and any necessary tools for the caregivers to use. However, caregivers are provided with gloves by the company. We're sorry for any misunderstanding or miscommunication on our part.

We are sorry for any discomfort you experienced. Our process for screening caregivers begins when they submit an application and/or resume. Applicants are first screened with a phone call to assess if we are interested in scheduling an in-person interview. Applicants are then brought to our office for a more in-depth interview and skills assessment. Before we decide to bring the applicant officially on board, we will conduct federal and state-level background checks, including motor vehicle history and validation of insurance. Only after all of these steps is the applicant cleared to work for our company. Once hired, the onboarding process begins. This includes orientation, hands-on and online training, and assignment to a mentor to help guide them through their initial employment with us.

We continuously try to ensure we are meeting our client's expectations by conducting regular customer service calls. Clients are also encouraged during the initial assessment with the owner of the company to call our office with any questions or concerns so that they may be addressed with an on-site supervisory visit to clarify the tasks clients need to be done, how to do them to the client’s satisfaction and to ensure the caregiver can accomplish them. We appreciate your feedback which is imperative to help accomplish our goal of complete client satisfaction.

Right at Home provides in-home caregiving services for thousands of families across the nation. We offer companionship and help with everyday tasks that have become challenging for an aging person. This may include things like meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping, hygiene and grooming. We also offer services for those with special care situations caused by numerous medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Custom Care Plan
From the moment you call, we begin considering the specific needs of your loved one. We ask questions during the initial call or meeting to form a basic needs assessment. After discussing your particular situation, we will prepare an initial Custom Care Plan and then work with you to fine tune that Care Plan based on your loved one’s specific needs. Once the plan is agreed upon, your local Right at Home team matches the right caregiver to implement the plan.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
Every Right at Home caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. Once hired, caregivers are trained through Right at Home University to ensure that they’re able to deliver the care set out in your loved one’s Custom Care Plan. Before providing care, they’re bonded and insured.
