VITAS Healthcare was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS the day my mother passed away. Mom became gravely ill so fast and we were overwhelmed with end of life care and the many decisions to be made. We called VITAS for their help and they came to see mom right away. From our first introduction to the intake nurse we knew she/we were in good hands. She spoke and acted as though this was her mom and that meant the world to us. We were so at peace with the process. Mom deserved this and we are comforted to know how beautiful her passing was. THANK YOU VITAS....we are forever grateful

From the 1st phone call at the hospital to the arrival of the ambulance at the Assisted Living, Vitas guided me every step of the way. The Intake was through, caring, and explained so well that I felt OK, when they left... The next day brought in repository, cna, nursing, social service, clergy, delivery of oxygen and anything else they thought we could use to make my mom comfortable.. Each person talked to my mom, made her feel cared for, laughed with her, talked to her about her care and what she wanted, they treated us like family. There wasn't one person that we came into contact with that didn't go above and beyond. If i had a question, it was a phone call and answered either with a call back or in person within minutes.. When we reached the step of inpatient at the hospital, I have Honestly NO words other than ANGELS....What these ladies do is nothing short of Miracles.. The care and support that my family received can't even be put into words..Honestly, I can't find any words to describe each and every person that came into that room, who sat with me, who hugged me, who told me to love and remember.... I can't even tell you how much all these people mean to me and how much I could never tell them in words even though I have tried... Each and every person who does this work needs to know how much they mean, how much they are appreciated and how they touch lives in a way they don't even know.. Thank You to all of you and Thank You for taking such wonderful Loving Care of my Mom.... We hold you all so very close to our hearts... Let me not forget the Volunteers who take make the Memory Bears, We love them and what a Beautiful selfless gift you gave my family and other families... We will cherish these forever...

We have hospice care for my mom. It's called VITAS hospice. They have been very good. If my mom is in pain, they will come in for 24-hour care, but other than that, they're there three to four times a week. When they're there, they are very good with what they do. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to get along with.

VItas provide my mom what she needed to live out the rest of her days in comfort. They were very knowledgable about her needs. I was impressed with their ability to be ready for the next event. My mom was kept as comfortable as possible during her transitions. Most of the staff were great. One or two of them were not as helpful as others. I was satisfied with the results after speaking with supervisors. I would definately reccommend this facility given the circumstances.
