They help with physical therapy and give him a shower or a bath. I chose VCP, I guess, because the girl on the phone treated me with more respect than the others. They always keep me updated about my mother and my disabled brother because I live three hours away from them. The girls are always calling me to give an update whether something’s wrong or they’re doing better or if they need something. I actually work for a homecare service myself where I live and they don’t do that down here, and I appreciate that a lot when I’m all the way down here and I don’t know. They’re always on time and very considerate. I feel like sometimes they go out of their way for my mom and my brother. My brother’s a paraplegic and went through physical therapy when he first got out of the hospital, which was 10 years ago, and this physical therapy has taught him more than he ever knew and he's become a little more independent than he ever was because she taught him how to do things that the other place never did and that he didn’t even think he was capable of doing, being a paraplegic.
