Bad reputation I found out from my neighbor. I wish I would have known ahead of time that I had a choice of providers. They didn’t come when I came from from the hospital like I was promised. Then they didn’t come the next day. I called and someone came out late the next day. She didn’t call before coming over and didn’t have any identification. They didn’t come like the doctor said they would with my bandages and only provided therapy visits a few times and I ended up falling and needing another surgery. Went with another company after that.

In general, Horizon Homecare was good, but there was a problem. I do not know if it was them or the agency that was trying to get the rental equipment, but he needed an alternating pressure mattress because he was getting pressure sores. The physical therapist ordered those for us as soon as I asked for them, so that was good. He was very good. The physical therapist was excellent. They put in an order to BayCare for those items. No one ever called. BayCare did not call, and I did not get the items. When I called BayCare, they did not have any idea about the equipment. I said it was ordered, and they said they did not know anything about it. They did not order it right.   My husband ended up back in the hospital before we ever got it, and he died. It would have made a lot of difference for his comfort at home if we had an alternating pressure mattress. He was sleeping in the lounge chair because he was uncomfortable. One problem I did have was that the company did not have an occupational therapist. He needed that. He needed somebody to help him feed himself and things like that. The social worker was fantastic. When I asked her questions, she got back to me.
