Employing this agency was a huge waste of money. They are highly highly expensive and charge excessively. Save your money for an attorney. These people will keep your elder in entirely unsafe environment. Then charge you a fortune.

Danica and AFTA care for my elderly aunt. I'm responsible for her (power of attorney et al) but live 1000 miles away. AFTA is incredibly reliable and caring. They monitor my aunt's health, but go much further, such as purchasing sundries that she asks for. I have total confidence in them, and am thankful Danica and her staff is there for my relative.

The owner, Ms. Danica, knew beforehand what my needs were going to be and she set the wheels in motion for everything to run smoothly. It's a very difficult time when you are attempting to care for your loved one, and don t know from day to day what is going to happen. I lived on the other side of the country from my mother and was trusting a live-in sibling to care for our mother. Over time, I realized that my mother was deteriorating and that her finances were be fraudulently used. After trying to get the state to intervene I was forced to resort to a court mandated guardianship to "rescue" my mother. I contacted Danica S. at AFTA, based on a recommendation from a trusted friend who knows the industry. Danica and AFTA literally saved my mother's life. They were able to move into the situation with legal and authoritative backing, take charge of my mother's finances, monitor her care and eventually mandate the placement of my mother in an assisted living facility, in spite of my mother's damaged financial situation. AFTA then worked to restore my mother's finances, based on her remaining assets, and even completed the process (really ordeal) of securing VA benefits for my mother, based on my deceased father's military career. (I had started parts of this overall process remotely, but with no experience and doing so from such a distance, I was having a very difficult time of it.) Finally, after one year, AFTA enabled a truly happy ending to this story, by facilitating the process of making me my mother's guardian and getting her moved across the country where I could care for her directly. AFTA is an extremely professional and experienced organization and I'm truly thankful they were available to get my mother to a safe place. I fully recommend AFTA to anyone needing help with a similar situation.
