Recently I fell resulting in broken hip and wrist. My Homecare team was a Nurse, Physical Therapist and Aide, Occupational Therapist, and personal care attendant. All of these individuals were very professional and on time for appointments. Their enthusiasm for their job made visits an enjoyable event. Thank you to my team members for your awesome care!!!

It took 2 days and numerous phone calls to schedule an appointment for home care then once appointment was scheduled aide had wrong time and had to refer to another aide. Once scheduled that aide got appointments mixed up with another client. Once resolved and rescheduled aide was late. Next appointment aide was 30 minutes late and when she returned my call I was told that her client list changed and she wasn't able to come that day. No apology and no phone call to let me know that she wasn't coming. When I spoke to supervisor he stated that I wasn't on the schedule and that they cant guarantee appointments and still no apology. He just wanted to reschedule again. I missed a half day of work.

I am a patient recovering from an intense break on my leg, recovering from surgery and help with major medical issues. I am 57, have always been active. Having home health care, not something I was looking forward too. Tomorrow is my 2nd week in a motel by shands with my home health case mgr and rehab and nursing. They are out of this world. It was as though they were hand picked for my comfort, personality and what I needed. It is hard for me to have anyone helping me, its the other way around. My husband and I are in a difficult situation right now and these guys are just somebody you can talk too. Please do not hesitate to use Shands Home Health. I know I'm newcat this but first impressions are very important and good luck to you!!

I had both nursing and physical therapy services in my home following a discharge from the hospital. Both the nurse and therapist were excellent and it was obvious they communicated with each other during my treatment. Highly recommend this provider.

Coordination between homecare and the hospital is terrible. We were told on discharge that PT would be at our home on Sunday following my husband's total knee replacement. No one called or came. When I called Shands Homecare on Monday, we were told that "someone was scheduled to come out today", but no time or schedule was provided. "I'm not sure what time the therapist will come".. was what we were told.
