This home care agency is part of Tri-City Hospital in Vista, CA. My mother was struck with rectal cancer which had metastasized to her lungs at the age of 83. Her primary care physician referred her to Tri-City for help with home care. This agency has a central place to coordinate several types of home care. Since it is hospital based, they are well staffed and easy to reach during regular business hours.In my mother's case, she received bathing assistance, physical therapy, and psychological therapy. Tri-City assigns you a case supervisor, who coordinates and oversees the various home health aides that come to your home. Appointments are pre-set by the agency, but they are flexible about rescheduling. Individual aides provide contact to them by cell phone. First appointments do require a reasonable amount of paperwork, particularly if you are a Medicare patient, which my mother was. A responsible party is required to sign for the care. Aides from this agency were extremely professional and caring. The case supervisor was very helpful and provided compassionate assistance in making good decisions for care. In my case, when hospice care became necessary, the case supervisor was instrumental in helping us make a smooth transition and obtain superb hospice care for my mother. An added benefit was the fact that some of the home care aides also worked with Tri-City Hospice and visited with my mother during her hospice care time. They are a compassionate group of people who are not afraid to challenge patients to get well, but have caring and concern for those who are terminally ill. I would recommend Tri-City Home Care for anyone seeking care for their loved ones.
