We hired Assisted Home because we got along well with the person that we spoke with. We were with them for two days, and, on both days, we had a different caregiver at my mom's request. She just wasn't ready to have in-home care, which had nothing to do with Assisted Home. I'm several thousand miles away from where the care was given, but from what I heard, they were fine and did what they were supposed to do. They explained the billing and scheduling to me, which was all clearly defined at the beginning, and that's how it went. They're still sort of on contract. I've given them the down payment and paid the first two days, but they're still holding the down payment to see whether we were going to go back and do this again or not, so we're not quite finished yet. They may not have done as good a job as they could have done in matching a caregiver to my mom. For some reason, my mom just did not get along well at all with the first one. The second one, she was tolerant of, but then she realized that she wasn't really tolerant of anybody. She just really adversely reacted to the first one.
