I had called KC's Home Care for help for my mother. They were very attentive to ask many questions to understand all the challenges and medical limitations that my mom was dealing with. The Nurses and the team we were very helpful and gave my mom great personal attention. In turn, I saw first hand that my moms health and attitude improved due to the kind hearted team from KC's

Speech therapist spent hardly any time working with my mother after her stroke. Promised to have a swallow test ordered prior to discharging her which he did not. She's remained on a puree diet and going on 90 days post stroke. Phone calls not returned. Had I known this company was like this I would not have put my mother's care in their hands. Take advice and run!

My mother was a pt with KC'S and she received wonderful care all though it wasn't enough but that wasn't their faults but ours. My mother didn't tell us she had signed up for a Medicare advantage plan but that because of that she was only allowed a few visits. They tried to obtain more but were denied. I'm so grateful for all they did provide and the information on how bad these insurance companies are and how they take advantage of the elderly and sign them up to steal the Medicare funds and leave your parent's without care. I hope everyone see and reads this please make sure the big insurance companies don't do that to you. Again thank you to the nurses who took great care of mom and us.

Very poor. I'm having to write up a complaint with the Quality team through the insurance agency then take it higher. The company is understaffed, when RN's come out to do home care for patient they are very messy. Also they cannot follow Banner Dr's orders for wound care. They schedule on the day of to see a pt. rather than scheduling in advance knowing they have to come 3 times a week. Lori the admin person needs more training on pt. care and needs of pt. Jill the supervisor is not to informed on how pt care is. Complaint is in the works and Banner is backing me up and Text messages are proof with KC's RN that scheduling is done on the day of, very wrong.

We were thoroughly disappointed in KC's Home Health Care. When my brother, who had returned home prematurely from a nursing faciiity, told the visiting nurse that he had not been given enough of his steroid medication to last until his appointment with a physician three days later, and asked if it was okay if he went without it for the few days' gap, he was told that it was fine, as long as he made sure to do to the appointment at the scheduled time. As a result of this almost deadly advice from the nurse, his blood sugar and blood pressure plummeted to dangerously low levels, which we later found to be a problem with suddenly going off of a steroid, and this resulted in his almost dying and having to be readmitted to the hospital. This incident weakened him terribly, and he never recovered. Two weeks later, he died. Apparently, as we found out later, it is common knowledge that people on steroids, especially those with diabetes and hypertension, have to be extremely cautious about weaning off of a steroid. Going cold turkey wreaks havoc on blood pressure and blood sugar. You have to be titrated off this, slowly. When we queried KC about the advice this nurse gave, and what notes she wrote in the file, the clinical director summarily denied that her nurse would have said any such thing, even though there were three people in the room who heard her say that it was okay not to take the medicine. (In the file, there was no mention of the patient having asked if it was okay to not have the med or her response, other than that "patient understands he cannot miss appointment with doctor in 3 days so can fill prescription." If the nurse doesn't write complete notes, who is there to oversee this? When we filed a complaint to the oversight agency, we were told that it would be our word against theirs, and that as such it would be difficult to "prove" wrongdoing. We finally received a letter saying that they couldn't prove wrongdoing. In addition, we never even received any communication from KC saying they were sorry to hear of our brother's death. Clearly, they must be worried about a law suit if they can't even provide the common courtesy of a condolence note, after such a tragedy. Be very careful with advice provided from these nurses. Make sure to get second opinions, to avoid what we went through. Beware.

KC's Home Health Care provides excellent care. I will only use them. The nurses and therapists are caring, compassionate and highly skilled. They are ranked in the top 25% of the nation and have "elite" status. Thank you to KC's for such great care!
