We have been using Southern Cross Home Care for about a month now. We are just starting it kind of slow, but the caregiver is a sitter, so I can leave the house, and she stays with my mother. She can do light housekeeping if she can, and she can fix a meal for Mom. She could bathe her, but we're not doing that because I do that myself. The caregiver is great. I've had the same sitter the whole time, which is excellent. That's a big plus when you have a dementia patient. So, I haven't had any problem getting coverage. We had set it up in advance, and it has worked out fine.

I started using Southern Cross Home Care about a year ago. The woman I have is superb. She's fantastic, but they have trouble finding good substitutes. I've had four caregivers. They do cooking, they do laundry, and they're bathing me. I interviewed them and I liked them the best. It's a great value for the money.

Mom just needed some assistance post- rehab at home for 2 1/2 months. They filled all the requested shifts which initially were ATC. Every caregiver was appropriate but of course some were just absolutely wonderful! I will definitely utilize Southern Cross Home Health of AL if we have further needs.

So far, Southern Cross Home Care is pretty good. My mom seems comfortable with them. They've come when they're supposed to, and they pretty much do whatever my mom asks them to do (like clean up the kitchen, laundry, change beds, and just general cleaning). They also take her (if need be) to appointments and things of that nature; but we haven't required that of them because I'm retired, and I'm able to do it myself.

My father is using Southern Cross Home Care. He's got somebody who comes three days a week and stays about four or five hours a day. They just come and help cook, clean, and run errands for him. They're doing a pretty good job.

Caregivers are well-trained...excellent skill sets and good interaction with client and family members. A positive environment is in-place. The Caregivers are dedicated throughout the day and into the early evening, sharing both their technical and people skills; their presence has made a major difference in both my Wife’s physical and mental well-being. The Owner of the Company has played an active role in my Wife’s care as well, with frequent phone updates and home visitations. Without hesitation, I would recommend Southern Cross to others in need. Their dedication, years of technical experience, and people caring has made a significant difference in my Wife’s life...and mine too!
