We visited the Safe Haven Senior Care assisted living facility while looking at new living options for our aunt. The staff was gracious and kind enough to let us stop in without an appointment. We could see that the facility can accommodate all levels of ambulation. There was also plenty of space to have cookouts, parties and picnics. The outside area was very well maintained and were easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around freely safely. All of the interior, including the foyer, was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. There was plenty of fresh air and light throughout. Rooms were all tastefully and comfortably decorated with nice furnishings. The colors used were soothing. The communal activity rooms were filled with comfortable furniture and spacious. The seniors can enjoy socializing, crafting, play games, watch TV and participate in a number of other regularly changing stimulating activities. The food appeared nicely presented and prepared and smelled delicious. The menus were interesting and had healthy food options for all diets. Healthy snacks were offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The fitness room includes bike, treadmill and weight training equipment. Residents can also take aerobics and yoga classes and take regular walks around the grounds safely. The residents go on many outings to the many Milwaukee art exhibits, music, book and other cultural happenings. They also routinely enjoy the many casual and fine dining restaurants offered in the area. The private living spaces featured plenty of space in nicely decorated surroundings. Each unit had natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture. The residents all looked content in this nicely designed living environment with considerate and kind staff.
