My sister is at The Landings of Kaukauna. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. My sister came from a facility in Oklahoma where they were locked out of their rooms. But here at The Landings of Kaukauna, their doors are open, and they can come and go as they please. My sister has a nice comfortable room. She has more room than she probably even needs. It's very nice and comfortable. They will take her to her room if she wants to watch TV. She can sit in her chair, or be out in a common area with other people. They're very accommodating to her. For some reason, she does not like to get up very early in the morning. But they let her sleep in if that's what she chooses to do, so they work around her schedule. She seems very comfortable there. Overall, the staff members have been very good. The facility is very clean and very attractive. With regards to activities, they have singers come in and they do some gardening. However, my sister doesn't participate in a lot of activities. They have a salon. They have a theater room with a big screen, and that's where they do their exercises, and they can watch movies with their popcorn. They have an outdoor courtyard so they can go outside and sit within a fenced-in area. I have also taken my sister for a walk on their boardwalk with plants and such. It's a nice little garden. There is also a private room. If they want families to come in, they have privacy right there.

We chose The Landings of Kaukauna for my father. It was bright, smelled wonderful, and the people were very accommodating. They had very nice accommodations. They showed us 2 different types of rooms, and they showed us the general areas, like the TV areas where the residents stay or spend time.

The Landings of Kaukauna was very nice, neat, and clean but it was a smaller place. The staff that we met during the tour was nice. It just seemed like they cared for the residents and their well-being. They had a room where they were playing bingo. There was a movie theater with popcorn. They had a patio area outside. They also had a place outside where they could grow vegetables and herbs. They had a game room and a beauty salon. They had a nurse on call 24/7. They would also manage the residents' medications if it was necessary.

The Landings of Kaukauna was very nice. The person who gave me the tour, Diane, was very helpful and was able to answer all my questions. There were rooms attached to the main structure. Meals are provided, medication is provided, that sort of thing. I only met the representative, the salesperson person. They seem to be staffed fine. The rooms were spacious. Some were double rooms for two residents, and some were single. But they all seemed quite airy and with high ceilings and that sort of thing. The dining area has hardwood floors, plenty of windows, and views of the outdoors. It's just very user-friendly for folks in walkers and wheelchairs. The residents gathered together in the common area where they eat their meals. I was there, probably about 11:00 in the morning, so, nothing was going on then. They do offer things like bingo, card playing, and that sort of thing. There's a movie theater, and a beauty barbershop was there. They offer haircuts, trims, etc. The facility looked quite new and quite easily accessible for everyone that was there.

We have a room reserved at The Landings of Kaukauna. We chose it because it's the smallest facility and that will better suit my dad's needs. The other places were phenomenal, but they're way too big for him. All the people there were very nice. We visited only the assisted living, but now that the nurse has come and evaluated my dad, she has determined he needs to go to the memory care. We saw the menu. We were there during lunchtime, and the food looked really good, smelled good, and the menu choices looked good. It's fine for my dad. I liked the room, but that's kind of last. We want him to be comfortable, but the staff there was just so friendly. Because it was so small, everyone seemed like they knew everyone, and I liked the fact that they would come to dad's room to get him out and about every day, so he just doesn't sit around. Just the small-town feel of it all seemed the best fit for my dad. It's totally clean, and they are constantly cleaning. I used the restroom there, and it was totally clean. The occupants there did not have masks on anymore, but we all did and I think all the employees still did.
