Water's Edge was very clean. It had a lot of activities for the patients, so that they could stay busy. They went on field trips. They arranged transportation for either free or at a very low price so that the patients could get around. They also had a parking garage, so the people living there could bring their own cars. They also had walking trails and bike trails. The food seemed to be pretty good, so they would look forward to eating and gathering. Actually, one of the ladies who lives there goes hiking on Tuesdays with us, and she was telling me about the menu, and it's very good. We looked at the menus, and they seemed like they were very well thought out and prepared well. They have a lot of sitting areas with puzzles, activities, and TV, so people aren't in their individual rooms all the time, but they could get together and get more social. There are nurses there on site at all times. Some of the clients there have asked me to bring in my small dog to visit. I have a hypoallergenic 14-pound dog that's very friendly, and I'm having a hard time getting them to respond and call back. So, that's the only frustrating part right now. For three weeks now, I've been trying to reach them because when I was there touring, they wanted me to bring my dog back, and I'm having a tough time setting up a visiting schedule.
