I would describe my visit to VitaCare Living - Hayward I as good. The staff was friendly and informative. The facility looked clean and well-taken care of. The rooms looked well-maintained and updated, including the shower facilities. In terms of the maintenance of the place, it seemed well-maintained.

It is located near medical facilities, as well as numerous shopping, dining and recreational facilities. The facility provides our residents with a warm, dignified and caring atmosphere by recognizing the special needs of each and every resident. I toured VitaCare Living - Hayward I. When I arrived for my tour, there was no one there to meet me. A man mopping the floor offered to help and ended up showing me around. He showed me one room, the kitchen, and a few common areas. He was very nice and did what he could, but he couldn’t answer many questions or provide details beyond saying that a nurse stops by once a week. The tour felt informal, and I didn’t receive any materials or specifics about services or pricing. The staff I encountered were very nice, and also the man who showed me around. I had called because I lost the address, and whoever answered was a very nice woman. She told me how to get there, and she's very friendly. So, it's just a small place with many homie-friendly people. I'm looking for independent living. I asked him who was accommodated, and he said, "Assisted living with no need of nursing care, just helping them in and out of bed and that sort of thing." But he said no memory care and nothing that requires being in bed and having to be cared for with different sorts of equipment. If somebody has to leave their home and has no place to go, this would be very friendly. It was very quiet, and he said they get three meals a day, but I didn't get any written information about prices or what was provided. Also, the facility was very sparse. It was an older building.
