Way Overwhelmed

My mom and dad are both in need of care but my dad has had multiple surgeries and in rehabilitation. When my mom could no longer stay with him, Sterling House offered a respite care service to my mom. The people at Sterling House have been a Godsend to me and my family. I think this is the first time in a long time my mom is actually enjoying herself.

Sterling House was small and dark. They had a registered nurse on duty. They have a financial concierge which, if you have a house to sell, they will take care of that for you and they'll set up a payment plan from that.

My mom was at Sterling House of Fond Du Lac for a month of rehabilitation. We were very pleased because the staff was very nice and very caring. The rooms and surrounding were also nice. They have lots of activities and they got my mom involved in those activities. The only complaint that my mom has was that she wasn't very pleased with the food.

My elderly mother in law was recently looking for a new place that would allow her to be around older people in a more senior friendly environment without being a nursing home. From the moment I walked to the front door I was greeted with warm hellos and smiles from staff and the residents. The facility really takes serious being a man or woman of leisure in their twilight years. There are a few seating chairs in front of the facility that made you just want to sit down and relax. The facility offers a girth of programs, including exercise regimens, guest lecturers, gardening, and unique games, along with the traditional appurtenances. Not only are they concerned for the patients but they are in constant communication with the family on current issues with my elderly mother in law. The amenities and facilities are great and I cannot say one negative thing or experience that I have witnessed while visiting there. Food quality has always been exceptional and it is good for every resident living there. I would recommend this place for all people looking for a nice place.

When we arrived at the Sterling House of Fond du Lac assisted living facility, we could see that it was a charming, homey community. We could see that the facility could accommodate all levels of ambulation. We were searching for a new home for our aunt. The outside was very nicely maintained. We could see that there was plenty of space to have cookouts, parties and picnics. The grounds offered easy access for residents, where they enjoy walking freely and safely. The foyer was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. All of the indoor rooms had fresh air and light. The colors used throughout the building were cheery, but still soothing and comfortable. The rooms were beautifully decorated and furnished. Activity rooms had comfortable furniture where the seniors can easily socialize, make crafts, play games, watch TV and also participate in many other stimulating activities. Seniors use the exercise room and go on daily walks. They can also take yoga and aerobics classes are offered. The residents go on regular trips to visit the many Fond Du Lac casual and fine dining eateries. They also participate in many of the surrounding area cultural events offered on a regular basis. The dining room was beautiful. The menus all had healthy food options for all diet types. Snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The food we saw looked and smelled appetizing. The private living spaces featured plenty of space in nicely decorated surroundings. Natural light and fresh air was plentiful, with very comfortable furniture. The residents looked content and engaged in their environment with kind and caring staff.
