While researching memory care homes for a respite stay for my mom, Whispering Willow was one of a long list of places in western Washington that I was called. When I called I spoke with the marketing director, Kristie. Not only was she friendly and helpful with all of my questions, but she really went 'over-and-beyond'. Why do I say this? As it turns out, her facility wasn't a fit for my mom. However, that didn't prevent her from spending quality time with me and helping with a related challenge I was facing. I took action on her suggestion and got such a positive result that I reached back out to her to thank her. She genuinely asked to stay in touch. Wow! In today's healthcare arena, it is (unfortunately) rare to find such kindness, caring, and genuine desire help - regardless if my mom becomes a resident or not. I was so impressed that I offered to write this review. While I cannot say anything about the facility (since I never toured it), I can say that if Kristie is symbolic of the caring and attention available at Whispering Willows, then this is a place for you to check out.

Whispering Willows is definitely a place we would highly recommend for anyone looking for care of a loved one dealing with dementia-- The owners and staff all are so loving and kind to the residents and their families--We feel so blessed that our dear sister Karen was able to be there and experience this love! Thanks again to all of you there who helped along her/our journey--you are so much appreciated and will always hold a special place in our hearts!

Rooms are big, bright and clean. Open and welcoming. Bright windows, pretty paintings. Lots of halls and outdoor space for dementia wanderers. My mom has been there since February 2025. I finally can breathe knowing she is safe and cared for.

The care that my mom receives at Whispering Willows is exceptional! The staff are caring, attentive, and knowledgeable about memory care. There's plenty of space for the residents to safely wander- hallways that loop around and have handrails as well as enclosed courtyards. They have daily activities for the residents. The food is great - my mom eats well. The environment is very clean and welcoming. And they accept Medicaid. Highly recommend!

Whispering Willows of Mount Vernon has been remodeled, so everything's very nice. They accept Medicaid residents and these residents would share a room. They had two beds and the room that I was shown was large and everything was remodeled. They have a bathroom in every room, which is nice, and they've got a general area for meals. What's nice is all the rooms go around an interior garden area where the residents would be able to go out into and there's no way they could go out of the facility. You have to sign in electronically, and put your name in and who you're going to visit before they buzz you to come in the door. The person that did the tour was awesome and was very helpful.
