I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This place is horrible. They treat the residents horribly and honestly most of their caregivers shouldn't be in that job. The new owner has no idea what she is doing. Residents that should have a 1 to 1 caregiver are being left on their own. One of the caregivers tried to give a resident with a peanut allergy a PB and j sandwich. I would never put a loved one in this places care.

I visited this facility

Whispering Willows of Mount Vernon has been remodeled, so everything's very nice. They accept Medicaid residents and these residents would share a room. They had two beds and the room that I was shown was large and everything was remodeled. They have a bathroom in every room, which is nice, and they've got a general area for meals. What's nice is all the rooms go around an interior garden area where the residents would be able to go out into and there's no way they could go out of the facility. You have to sign in electronically, and put your name in and who you're going to visit before they buzz you to come in the door. The person that did the tour was awesome and was very helpful.
