Jacksonville is small and clean, but they all seem caring. The place is several years old. My mom is in a private room and it is of a nice size. It’s got a bed, chest, night stand, an all-around table for her to sit and work if she wants to, a TV on the wall, a half bath, and a nice closet. She doesn’t complain about the food and she eats pretty well.

Don't let the review and inspections fool you. They visit the facilities once a year and score them based on that visit. My mother edured them only three months. If you love your parents do not allow them here. They were constantly understaffed an failed to provide proper care for my mother. We found her in dried feces on two separate occasions. 2 weeks later found dried feces under her bed and on the wall and bed rails. Found her one evening tangled in her bed alarm and it took an additional 5 minutes after I got there for some one to come check on her. When they did the girl said What do you want? My mother had numerous fall because she need assistance getting to the rest room and could not get anyone to answer her calls in time. When we asked them to schedule her a Dr.'s appoint it didn't happen till it was too late . The Dr. on staff billed her for one visit a month. The one and only time I saw him and asked him to wait so I could be there in the room with them , he left and came back in less than five minutes and said she was fine. Three weeks later she died. She was only there a little over three months, I got her out as soon as I could and that very day she had three strokes in front of me and the aide said "Oh she does that all the time" . That's what you can expect from this facility.
