My husband will be moving into The Legacy at Cimarron. They reach out, they don't wait for you to talk to them. They'll greet you. Because my husband had a walker, they would always zero in on him and try to make him feel welcome. They were very friendly. So far, so good. I have only seen their smallest room, which is all that we can afford, which is a studio. I saw one that was occupied and it was beautiful. The resident has probably a queen-size bed in there, and then at the other side of the room she had one or two chairs, and her TV, and it didn't feel like you had to step around things. It still felt spacious. They had a kitchenette and the bathroom was very roomy, so no worries about not having room to turn around. The dining area looked very nice. I was only in there once briefly, but it was nicely decorated, and it didn't feel like you were at summer camp. It felt like you were in a nice restaurant. They give choices on the menu rather than just saying, "Here's what's on the menu today, eat it." They had some that are always available and then they have one or two extra things every day that you can choose from. They have a long atrium sort of entryway that opens out on one side to a fairly roomy courtyard that is open air, although they have some sunshades that they can pull over in the summer when it's warm to at least provide shade. It's nicely decorated out there. They have a movie theater with really nice seats. They show movies twice a day, one at 1:00 and one in the evening every day. They had a family dining room that looked very nice and welcoming. If you bring yourself and all the grandkids and whatever, there's a place for them, and you can either have them provide the meal or you can bring in your own. It has a little kitchenette where you can heat things up or whatever. They have a little exercise room that is always staffed at least in the daytime. I was very impressed by the machinery they had in there (it is specifically designed for the elderly), and the wristbands that people wear. If my husband put his wristband by the sensor, it sets the weights and the height so that it's optimum for him. He doesn't have to think about that. They had two large meeting rooms upstairs, one where they would have their daily announcements and things like that, or if somebody comes in to do a lecture or something like that. They have a sports room with a few TVs around. They have billiards and other tables for cards, chess, checkers, puzzles, and games over on the side that people can check out. They also have a library downstairs. When we walked in, my husband looked around and he said, "Wow, this is like a hotel."

Hello, I have to say that I am so thankful for everyone and everything you do in caring for our loved ones. The time my grandmother has spent here the past year has been outstanding. She has had a huge change for the better and I know it was because of the loving care provided to her. Words cannot express my gratitude. THANK YOU ALL!

My mother has been at the Legacy at Cimarron for over a year now. She absolutely loves it. The staff are amazing. They are professional, courteous, kind, knowledgeable and my mother feels like they are family. They treat her like a cherished grandmother and I have peace of mind knowing that she is being taken care of and that all her needs are being met physically, mentally and emotionally. I wouldn’t have her anywhere else.

My mom is currently at The Legacy at Cimarron. It was highly recommended. We went on the reviews and saw the high reviews. We toured the facility. The gentleman in charge of the touring did very well as far as explaining any concerns or addressing any questions that we had. The rooms are very clean. I didn't have a problem with anything. Everything looks very, very sanitary and well kept. They have a lot of activities for the seniors that are there. They have movie nights two times out of the day at 1:00 and 6:00, they have game rooms, and they have a library. There's just a lot of different variety of things that they can choose to keep them active as well as a little bit of exercising. They have therapy and equipment for them to use as well. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. They've answered all my questions to my satisfaction and are just overly helpful. So I don't have any complaints about them. I overlooked their menu. They have a lot of variety of things that they can pick and choose from according to their special diet. My mom is diabetic, so they have a wide variety of items that she could choose from on the diabetic menu. It is a little bit pricey, but it's very reasonable. It's kind of high; however, everything that they have, not just my mom, but all the residents, they have high-end and high-quality stuff for them.

The Legacy at Cimarron seemed to have more activities going on. They had people working with the residents, doing manual dexterity things, and other group activities. My friend lives in the assisted living. During my recent tour, I was visiting the memory care for my mom. The employees were more involved. I wasn't impressed with the meals though. I ate there. The food wasn't wonderful for me, but my friend doesn't complain about it. Then they also have rooms for you to go watch movies, reading rooms, and areas where people could go play cards or do things together with each other. There were more interactions going on, and they had special things going on with the memory care people to keep them active.

I visited The Legacy at Cimarron and I really liked it, the caring staff, and the facility is five stars. They have dining and they have activities, it's just whatever they do for memory care. The location is nice. I just think that their staff is well-equipped to take care of dementia and Alzheimer's very well.

The Legacy at Cimarron is very expensive. It's fairly new and it's very pretty, but the rooms are smaller. It's $1,000 more than the others, but it's actually close to my current home. We visited the memory care. They seem to have a shortage of staff.

My mother has moved into The Legacy at Cimarron. I toured it with her, and she liked that facility. I liked the facility as well. It was very professionally run, very clean, brand new and up-to-date. It was easy to get around for her with her walker. It looked like they had a lot of good spaces for people to gather in different sizes whether she has a few people from the family visiting or she wants to get together in a group at the home.

The Legacy at Cimarron was fabulous. It had its own movie theater, snacks free of charge, toiletries free of charge, and very good food. It's brand new, but they also call themselves "concierge" which means they're very high end. We would have moved in there in a second, but they were way too expensive for us. They have independent living all the way to memory care that is locked away for their safety. For people who can afford it, we would highly recommend it. It was a beautiful place and very innovative in keeping track of their residents. They had something that you wear on your wrist that keeps track of you and your health. It was also beautifully furnished.
