My dad has moved into Redstone Park. We are really pleased with it. They are very nice and very helpful. It has been a pleasant experience so far, and the move-in experience went very well. The facilities are really good. It's very nice. I like that they have dining rooms, so that they don't have to walk too far. They have two choices to go to. The cleanliness and upkeep is really good. They have a nice big front porch with chairs there. They can go out and sit, and then there is a garden in the yard. I don't know about the food, but he is eating better.

Our first appointment at Redstone Park was on a Saturday and none of the office people were there on a Saturday, so we didn't actually get to take a review. We did go back on Monday and we talked to one of the staff, but it wasn't the staff that rents out anything. It was the girl that gave out the medicine who showed us around, but she didn't have any information on what it costs to do things. We did go back on the following Monday and we were shown around. It was very nice and clean. I talked to some of the people who were there sitting out on the porch. I asked them about the food, and they said the food was OK, not great, but not real bad either. They even told me how much they were paying, and so I was a little surprised because they were paying quite a bit less than what they were trying to rent me the room for. The lady I talked to said she was paying $2100 a month and they were wanting $3000 a month for my wife and another $800 a month for me just to stay in the same room. That included your meals and everything, but everything costs extra. If you had to have your meds delivered to you, they charge you for that. If you had to have somebody to help you with the shower, they charge you for that. They charge you for everything extra other than the room and that's crazy. The facility was very nice. It's across the street from the hospital. So if anything bad happened, you wouldn't be far away from getting help.

Redstone Park treated me well. I talked to them and I explained to them about my medical problem, and they listened. They toured me in a wheelchair. They showed me the room and it was very nice. The facility was very clean.

Redstone Park is a beautiful facility. If my mother was looking for something individually, that's where I probably would like for her to be. But it's not just her. It's me too. They don't have anything that would fit with us. The two ladies that I talked to were very, very nice. I didn't have an issue with that at all. The room was nice. We wanted something that I would be able to cook, and that was my only thing is they didn't. The staff showed me the room, and it was very nice. It wasn't two bedrooms. The dining area was really pretty, and the residents that I saw looked like they were enjoying their lunch. It was nicely set up and looked airy. The staff said they had activities. There's no smell of urine. The people were personable. I didn't see anybody slouching around with messed-up hair like they hadn't been attended to or anything like that. The halls were beautiful. They had trees and nice furniture.

I had been out to Redstone Park before COVID happened because I have friends who lives out there. My friend out there didn't have a whole lot to say about the personnel, and he told me that the groceries got pretty monotonous. The place was very beautiful and clean, and he had a nice room that was clean, well-taken care of, and laid out well. They have a couple of outdoor gardens side by side that were well-maintained. It's in a country-type setting so it's nice.

Both my mother and father in law resided at this great facility. Staff went above and beyond to make them feel like family and I can honestly say they were happy and content during their stay. Anytime a health issue arose, it was addressed immediately and in the utmost professional manner. I wholeheartedly recommend Redstone assisted living.
