"This facility was really great to the residents and their loved ones. It is a smaller facility, but that seemed to be an advantage because the patients received individual time and care. The rooms and bathrooms were always clean every time I visited the patients here and the nurses were very quick to check on anyone who hit the nurse button on their bed railing. Any problems that needed to be taken to the doctor were always done very quickly. I would give this nursing home a thumbs up. "

"A family friend had back surgery and was a resident in this facility after his hospital stay. I cannot express how pleased that I was with everything in the entire stay at Durham-Hensley. This facility is spotless from top to bottom with nothing but the best equipment available to the staff. The physical therapy staff worked with my friend on a daily basis and got him moving around so quickly, it amazed all of us. They did not leave us waiting for any changes in doctors orders or medications because they got it done IMMEDIATELY. None of us were left wondering what the plan of care was for our friend, we were constantly updated on his progress and what was next in the plan. The food was even good in this facility! I honestly cannot sing their praises enough here at Durham-Hensley. If a problem had to be found, it would be that they are located a bit on the rural side, but even that works out nicely with great scenery being out every window. Highly recommend this place to anyone. "

"Everything at Regency Retirement Village - Morristown was excellent. They had 24-hour nursing assistance. They had a pretty nice setup, but the way they're set up is all about money. It's a struggle because I'm trying to work with Medicaid and Mom's insurance and trying to get her set up in a place like this. It's very expensive. They had activities, and the staff during the tour was excellent."

"I visited The Village at Allandale. It has three different buildings; one is for Alzheimer's, and the other two are assisted living. I really like this community. The atmosphere was very nice. "

"This is my 5th year coming here, my caregiver goes on vacation for a couple of months, so I come here while she is gone. I have R/A, so I need help dressing and taking a shower. While I'am here I have Physical Therapy, The therapists are very good, When I came here five years ago I could barely walk, with there help I have progressed and now I can use a walker to get around. I have Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. the Occupational Therapist are getting my upper body stronger. The Physical Therapist are getting my lower body stronger. I had a Hip Replacement done on Feb. 3 and came here for rehab. It is going great my hip doesn't hurt at all and is getting stronger every day. The Nurses here are very good, they stay on top of my medications, I take a lot every day. If I have a question about medications they give me an answer right away. They also have church on Sunday's, they have a hairdresser on Saturday's they have country singers come in. They also have Bingo. and they have an ice cream parlor, it's not open everyday, but when it is there is a line. The food has improved since I first came here. If you don't like what they are serving you can ask for the alternative, or you can ask for soup and a sandwich. They are very accommodating. So when my caregiver goes away this year I'll be taking my vacation at the Heritage Center."

"My aunt moved into Family Ministries Retirement & Assisted Living. Their representative was most helpful. Some of the promises made were not done. The staff is very friendly, but the least thing is that it's understaffed. They did the best they can do with the food. They have games, crafts, and things like that. We were hoping for more of a homey atmosphere; it's more industrial or hospital type. Things were not delivered that was promised."

"The rooms are really big, nice and clean with plenty of room to keep your personal items. The staff has made me feel very welcome and everyone is really friendly and helpful. Made the transition in to the facility very easy. The facility has an outside area for residents to go sit on the porch and get fresh air and sunshine. The scenery is breathtaking, very beautiful mountain views. The food is excellent, with large portions. "

"My mother was a patient in long term care at Life Care Center of Morristown. She was always clean, comfortable and well taken care of. The staff was amazing. Her CNA’s, nurses, wound care, social services, and everyone made sure her needs were met. I was nervous going in (because of things you hear about nursing homes) but was very grateful she had top notch care from day one. She was never just left in her room. I often found her at the nurses station or listening to a speaker / music (her preference) in a community area. The facility and staff should be commended. The staff answered questions, they were attentive, and very welcoming. Thank you Life Care for coordinating the needs of my mother with hospice at the end of her life. "

"In November of 2010 I had the unpleasant task of having to put my 88 year old father in a nursing home. After visiting the nursing homes in my area, I chose Lee Nursing and Rehab in Pennington Gap, Va. I chose Lee Nursing due to its professionalism and cleanliness in comparison to the other nursing homes in my county. Also, it was approximatly 300 yards away from our local hospital which was comforting in the event my father needed medical care. The staff at Lee Nursing and Rehab is wonderful. The nurses are always extremely pleasant to my father and take fantastic care of him. He is always shaved and clean. His vital signs are monitoored on a regular basis, and if anything is too far from the norm they do not hesitate to call a doctor. The facility is always immaculate Also, the staff tries their hardest to make it seem like home. During the holidays decorations are prevalent throughout the facility. The food is also very good, and the residents may request something else if they don't like what's on the menu. There is no time when putting a loved one in a nursing home is a happy occasion, however I fell very fortunate to have a nursing home such as Lee Nursing and Rehab operating in Lee County, Virginia. "

"I have visited this facility numerous times, visiting friends and visiting with the churches. I have to say that this facility has nice and friendly workers. I have seen how they are treated and respected. The staff treats the residents like family. i personally dont have a family member there, but if i had to place a member of my family in an assisted living Chestnut Grove would be on the top of my list."
