This care facility is grossly under staffed !! I am not sure how they maintain their CERTIFICATION . The nurses and aids are all very friendly and competent. The problem is that they are so under staffed that the nurses on duty can’t keep up with all the needs of everyone in a timely fashion. Again I will say that all the nurses and support staff are wonderful and caring !! I believe this facility is in need of being completely renovated! I watch the maintenance people and they try to make do with what they have . The PT department is very small and definitely are in need for something larger . The staff their is very good I was however disappointed in the facility! I understand that many of these problems come from our government continually cuttIng money Which is desperately needed!

The facility at Bethany Home was older and dark. They have small rooms. There appeared to be rat droppings in the TV room. It is not clean and dangerous to the patients. The place that they have dinner has a cappuccino machine. It isn't blocked, and they walk through that area. If someone would put their hand and touch the button, they could burn themselves with the hot liquid. It's just an older place, but I wouldn't put someone in there. They should protect their patients from exposure to the machines in the kitchen area.
