I toured The Addison of Bluffton. I like it, and I think it's closer to my home. It was clean, and it seemed the studio rooms where the residents would stay were nice. They were spacious enough. The director was friendly and easy to talk to. It was easy to get around the place. They have PT, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. I was pleased with the place. The staff seemed professional and friendly. I haven't admitted my husband in there yet, but from what I saw, it looks pretty good. I saw one studio where my husband would probably be. It was all cleaned up, and it was nice. The whole atmosphere was pretty good.

I thought The Addison of Bluffton was well-staffed. I thought they had excellent meal service. The reason we chose not to go there was that my mother just simply didn't want to leave her home. The fixtures would have to be higher grade and a little more luxurious, but it was very good. It's above average.

We toured The Addison of Bluffton. The facility is very nice. Everything is clean. It's a beautiful facility, and lots of rooms are light-filled. Their admissions person was very communicative at all levels and answered my questions. We walked around there. I was impressed that they put call buttons about 15 inches off the floor in the residence rooms. So, if someone was on the floor, they could easily reach it, and from right there, where they were on the floor. I was impressed by the very good staff-to-resident ratio in the facility. I was impressed with the numbers that they had for that metric. It was a very impressive facility. I would move some money into that any minute. Brian was very forthcoming, knowledgeable, and willing to help and answer anything I had to ask.

My mother moved in. We like it because it's a good place. We chose it because of the whole feel of the place. It is very nice. It looks like they care for the people and they are concerned about the people. They're just very attentive. They do well with activities. They do bingo, they exercise a little bit, and they have entertainment - people coming for music and all. The whole place is great. There's a salon, but in memory care, there's nothing you're going to use.

What we liked the most was that it had a number of memory care patients. The other ones were too small, and we liked the facility and the staff that we talked to. They're knowledgeable and caring. They had a gym, a hair salon, a game room, outdoor seating area, and walking paths.

We're in the process of moving my mother in. She's going to get a slightly smaller room than what she has in her independent apartment. It's a very new facility, and we chose it because it's all on one floor with nice rooms. The activities are more limited because it's smaller and doesn't have as much open space within it. The clientele are much more physically limited because it's assisted living. They have chair yoga, exercise groups, and card playing groups. The food was OK.
