Highland Oaks at Water Run

Highland Oaks at Water Run was very clean. The facility was only seven years old, so it was newer and fresher. Their policy is that people will age in place. I liked the fact that it sat kind of out of town. There was a lot of open space, a wooded area, and a grass area around it. My parents currently live on a farm, so I feel like my dad would benefit well if he could sit outside and watch the deer and the birds. It looked like they had a lot of activities going on. When the weather permitted, they had cookouts once a week. They had several bedroom options and they had the nicest rooms in terms of layout. The staff was very friendly and helpful. She had gotten advance permission from several residents, and she took us into their rooms. And when we were getting ready to leave, there was one gentleman who just started talking to us and he wanted to show us his room. He just seemed very happy there.
