I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We placed Mom at The Lodge at Countryside Village. There are many things that I liked. The staff was very caring, very helpful, and very compassionate. The facility was clean. Every time I went in, residents were sitting at the table where they eat or something, there was always a staff with them sitting and visiting. This is a memory care facility and I appreciated how they were able to get the residents distracted when they were doing something they shouldn't be doing. Just their approach was wonderful. They're very proactive. My mother has a nice suite. She has a room with her own bathroom, and that was a very positive thing. They're bright, cheery, and very clean. I think the staff is the biggest thing, how helpful they were in getting us through the process. We looked at the menus, but we did not eat a meal yet. I saw some of the activities. I saw a person leading out and there were about six or seven women very engaged in the activity, helping each other, enjoying what they were doing. It was a simple activity, but they all seemed to be engaged and enjoying it. There were a couple of ladies going around helping, and nobody seemed to resent that. It was a good activity. There was good group participation and a good sense of community. Comparing the different facilities that were available here in Grants Pass for my mom, this was a five-star. We felt like we were able to get her into the best situation that we have to offer in Grants Pass. The staff was just outstanding. Their biggest strength is their people. I never saw anything that was unclean or untidy. Every time I went in and we went in quite a few times, I never noticed a smell or anything like that. It was always clean. I would highly recommend them to anybody. It's just an outstanding place.

I visited this facility

The Lodge at Countryside Village Memory Care is really nice. It's small, so the ratio of caregivers to people in there is good; therefore, they get good care. They have a lot of things for the people to do. They try and enrich their lives as much as they can with memory care. It's really clean, and they're really good. The person who gave the tour was been great. She went above and beyond. The food is very good. The dining area is restaurant-style. They have a menu and you can go any time when hours of the restaurant are open, which is 7:00 to 6:00 or 7:00 to 7:00. You pick what you want off of a menu. It's just like a restaurant. They have music where they help them sing along and listen to music. They have outdoor activities in their outdoor area.
