My sister-in-law is staying at Atoka Manor. She liked it very much. It's a regular nursing home and a skilled care facility, which enabled her to do physical therapy and occupational therapy. In her words, she said," They treat us like royalty." She would love to stay there, except for the price, which is extremely high. She just doesn't feel like she can afford that. Her room was very small, and she had to share it with someone else. They had a huge foyer and a huge TV in there, but they did not have enough individual tables, like domino tables or puzzle tables, for everyone to use. They only had one table. They needed more entertaining areas. They have bingo. They had a nice outdoor area. My sister-in-law has two dogs, which is her main concern. The only way to bring her dogs to visit her there was to go through a long hallway residence, and one of the dogs was too rowdy, so I couldn't even take him in. They had a back gate that entered a green area, which was very nice. Although they had this back gate, they would not unlock it, so it was useless and was a downsize. I just think they needed to be more accommodating for outdoor accommodations. They did a very good job with the therapy. They have excellent people. The food is very good.
