"Bright, sunny and inviting they create an atmosphere of family and caring. I like they keep the residents engaged and activity. They aren't forgotten in their rooms like they only there to create a paycheck for someone. They are associated with the Lutheran Social Services and they seem to really love and care about the people they provide services too in this community. My Grandmother loves it there. "

"My husband is a patient at LanFair and will be discharged tomorrow. Wanted to take the time to leave a review stating how pleased I was with the staff here, so attentive to his needs. One staff member stood out and just want to “toot her horn”. She was the first one we saw when we came and she instantly took us under her wing and treated us like royalty. Her name is Lucinda and was our first nurse. She left us feeling very comfortable and safe, just wanted her manager to know how great she was. Thank you."

"My dad went to Homestead Care and Rehab, and so far, he gets plenty of PT and speech therapy. They seem to be very attentive with him, and I'm pretty happy with what they do. However, it's an old place. The staff has been good."

"We went to Primrose Retirement Community of Lancaster yesterday, and we liked it. The rooms were exceptionally big and nice for the unassisted. They have a lot of activities that I had never seen in any place as far as having an ice cream shop and an exercise room. They have a free pub that you could go to in the building. They have access to a spa. Primrose offers a lot more. The staff member who gave the tour explained everything. She knew what the answers to everything were. Even though she was very young, I was very impressed with her. They would transport you to your doctor's appointments. It is right in with the cost of living there. The staff said that every Wednesday, they would take anybody that wanted to go to department stores, and on Friday, they would take anybody that wanted to go to the grocery. I don't think anything like that was offered at other places that we visited. The room was a big apartment. It has a nice, big outlay. You would get one free meal per day which is included in the cost of living there. Another thing that I liked about them was that you could have whatever you wanted whenever you wanted it at no cost. It was more homey, too."

"My mother-in-law is in Main Street Terrace Care Center. It's very nice. She is fortunate because she's in a new addition that was built about two or three years ago. She is in one of the newer rooms. They have some staff who are very good and very caring. But as far as the aides go, it seems like they're starting to get a lot of change over, which is common. They have an activities room. They do a lot of chair volleyball and balloon volleyball, they do bingo, and they do crafts. They have an actual monthly layout of what they're going to do. The food seems to be very good. They are very attentive to specific needs or desires as far as how stuff is prepared."

"The rooms are a little smaller then some of the other assisted living facilities that i have looked in to. The staff is super friendly and there for all of the people living there. They make sure that the residents get warm meals and will cook them anything when ever they are hungry no matter what time of the day or night it is. The work well with my grandmother to help her dementia. The facilities are very nice and clean they are just a little small. "

"I went to look at Carlin House. I like the open living space, where they can eat together, and it's not separate. It was like a big open concept, and that was good. There is a piano there for my dad as well. The staff was excellent. They had a gym and a salon. The upkeep was very good."

"Brookdale is very clean. She has her own private, little apartment with a bedroom, living room, and kitchenette. It’s perfect for her. The staff has been wonderful. "

"My great aunt lived at the Apartments at Cedar Hill for several years. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. There were many activities for residents to participate in, such as singing groups and senior athletics. Families were always welcome to visit and share meals. There were decorations for holidays and the common areas were well-kept. The grounds are nice, with lots of tress and gardens. There is outdoor space for enjoyment and activities. Also, the rooms are very nice and accessible for those with limited mobility. They also provide transportation for residents who need to get medical care. I would recommend this facility to anyone who has a loved one needing special care. It is a nice place to live, and residents are well cared for. "

"The third shift staff is very unprofessional and does nothing for the patients. A family member laid in bed for 5 hours and was not checked on once. She then pushed her call button and two hrs later, a first shift aid that had just arrived for work, came in her room and helped her. She was soaked and had urinated and had to lay in it for hours. This happened 10/13/23. This is unacceptable and unbelievable! Her entire experience has been like this. This Facility is not up to operating standards. I would not recommend sending any loved ones here. "

"My father's at The Chapel Grove Inn. I chose it because it's close to where I live and I really like the facility. I visit every day, and I have not found him not to be taken care of well. They make sure he gets down to his meals, and they allow visitors pretty much any time. They let me take him out when I want to. The price is pretty much in line with everyone else. "

"1) The call buttons only light up a light above there door. So no way to tell them what you need or if you need immediate assistance. You could lie there for a while before anyone see the light and comes to you. 2) My sister had lost her dentures before she went in & they fed her a regular diet. She would eat mashed potatoes or pudding. No one evidently charted her tray or it would have shown she was not eating. No other nutrients such as Ensure or broth were give to her. 3) Her condition was worsening & I had to ask ..really demand that she have blood test done. Right after she went into a high level ammonia level coma. Doctors come in before patients are awake & do a walk through. After ER here we had her transported to Ohio State where the Doctor stated she was suffering from malnutrition and that her condition was not being monitored or they would have increased her medicine to prevent the coma. 4) Place looks nice & is clean...but the medical care is horrible. My sister was there for rehabilitation & dies withing a few weeks of leaving there. "
