"My aunt went to Reflections Retirement Community. Care has been very good so far. Her apartment is very nice. She has a one-bedroom with a kitchenette. They have activities, and she has the activities calendar in her apartment. I'm paying for the meals. She gets three meals a day and also "well care" (where someone checks in on her three times a day). She says the food is good. They have a large library, a large dining area, and an outdoor patio area. It's a secure building. They lock the doors at night. It's very clean. I haven't really dealt with too many of the staff, but the ones I have has been good."

"The Middleton is great, my parents have been residents there since July 2019. They take care to ensure needs of the residents and families are met. They have been open and forthcoming with all questions and concerns."

"Primrose Retirement Community of Lancaster was a five-star facility. It was very nice. It had everything anyone could possibly want. What stood out was the cleanliness and all of the different things to do. They had a bar, an ice cream parlor, activities, and a movie theater. They had assisted living and independent living. The staff was very professional."

"The assisted living apartment is very nice with a huge bathroom and closet. The staff has truly went above and beyond in caring for our loved one. There are so many nice amenities. A bus for doctor visits and trips to the store each week. Exercise room, ice cream parlor, bar and library. She has a pendant that she can push for 24 hour care or assistance. We can't say enough about the staff and facility."

"Otterbein Granville had everything you could want. They have villas and cottages. They have apartment homes. Many of the homes that I viewed were the same or slightly larger square footage than what we live in now. They're beautiful homes. Everything is customized to the occupant's preferences, whether it be flooring, walls, color, appliances, and so on. They have a chef who is there for the preparation of the meals. They also have a grab-and-go lunch as well as a sit-down lunch. They have a beautiful heated indoor pool, very large and very nice. The thing I loved the most about it was they have miles of walking trails. I think it's five miles of paved trail and then they are adjacent to Dawes Arboretum, which is a place that is protected. They provide 20 meals a month. Then you can pay to have additional if you so desire. We were invited to come and stay there for two nights at no charge so that we could try the food, which I think is a nice amenity as well. The staff was very friendly and very easy to talk to. I didn't meet very many staff other than the person who communicates with people who are interested in the facility. She's just wonderful. She took us on a tour using a golf cart to go see a cottage and a villa and so forth. She did an excellent job. She's very friendly. I think somebody has to be prepared for a large outlay for their admissions fee there. It's very expensive."

"I visited Violet Springs Health Campus. They've got everything there. They have a memory care part, but they also have independent living and the entire range. It seems to be very close to the things that I liked about the other place except I don't know how I would rate their diet. Their apartments were comparable, although a little more expensive, which surprised me because I thought the other place would be higher, but it's not. It's right in the midrange. I had not made an appointment there. I just happened to drop in. The staff during the tour was friendly and knowledgeable. They showed me a list of activities and things that they had. They seemed reasonably decent. The reason I ended up choosing the other one is because of religious affiliation. I just think that a lot of the Christian-centered things would be a little out of my preference range. The facility was very nice."
