"My mother is at Berea Health and Rehab in Fredericksburg, and I think it's a very nice place. The nurses are professional and courteous. They don't do X-rays on the premises, though. They have to order for someone to come in to do X-rays, and that takes longer. Other than that, I don't see any other problems with the area at all. I think it's an excellent place to go. They have rooms with two residents, and they also have single ones. They have facilities where you can get your hair washed, the bathrooms are nice and large, and the rooms are kept very clean. The housekeeping comes every day. For activities, they have bingo and all sorts of games. They keep the residents very active, and I am impressed. I've seen other places, so I can make a comparison with the cleanliness and the attentiveness of the nurses. They come right away to help out as much as they can, and I can't find anything to complain about them."

"I was so surprised to see the size of the room and help clean this community is there is no equipment in the hallways, nurses all said hello as I walk through the building. Even the administrator was out walking around which is a very very rare for most facilities. Just going by the intitial first glance I can see it's progressive. "

"We transferred my Dad from a skilled nursing facility in Bozeman, Montana to Lake Manasssas Rehab. His Doctor in Montana had refused to eliminate some of his meds and I knew that the only way to give my Dad a fighting chance to regain his health was to get him to Virginia to this facility. The staff and doctors at Lake Manassas were already working with me before I arrived in Virginia. Accommodations for medical care and strategies for my Dad's recovery were in the works long before we arrived that Friday. Our travel that Friday was long and arduous but the staff at Lake Manasssas arranged a medical transport from Dulles airport to the facility. The gentleman that transported my Dad could not have been kinder or more comforting. When we arrived at 11:30pm that evening the Admissions Director Erika L. was waiting at the door for us. They had my Dad's room ready for him. We could not believe the the efforts made to help make my Dad feel welcome, safe and familiar. The Director Amanda G. and the Admissions Director Erika L. had gotten pictures and bedding from our home in Virginia to familiarize the room. Warm cozy towels in the bathroom. Beautiful spring flowers on the bureau. Most importantly some of my Dad's favorite snacks. A few weeks have past and my Dad is recovering slowly. Each step of the process is reviewed with our family weekly. We understood that the process would take time and recovery is not in a straight line. The nurses, the physical therapists, the occupational-therapists and the administration think of my Dad as if he was their Dad. Their professionalism ,and their personalization of care is the best I have ever seen. We can sleep at night now knowing that my Dad is being cared for by professionals that love what they do and know what they are doing. Thanks Lake Manassas Rehab for everything."

"Annaburg Manor is a wonderful nursing home. They offer many different accommodations depending on the severity of the needs of the individual. The staff is friendly and the facilities are clean. It seems that they have many of activities such as bingo and ice cream socials. Manassas is a great little city to live in. There are many opportunities for people to leave and become active in the community. Additionally if family members came to visit, there are places to stay and to eat in downtown Manassas which is a short walk from Annaburg Manor. Annaburg Manor is also a relatively small nursing home, which means that you or your family member will not get lost in the crowd. There will be plenty of people to look out for them and make sure that their needs are attended to. When visiting the rooms, the people living there seem very comfortable and happy. I think anyone would be happy living there or having one of their family members live there. "

"My wife is in Birmingham Green for rehab. The staff was just great. They have quite a bit of it too which was another reason we went there. The rooms looked like a hospital; there were two beds in the room. My wife doesn’t like the food. The dining room looks nice. They have Bingo, and they have movies. "

"My friend is a resident of Carriage Hill Health & Rehab Center. It's a welcoming environment. They have activities ongoing for the residents, and they have pleasant workers. The receptionist is very warm, inviting, and engaging. The waiting area is very nicely decorated and the hallways have artwork. They have monthly activities for the residents. It doesn't smell, they have hand sanitizer available in all the halls. The food is pretty good. The room is enough for one person."

"My dad was sent there after his knee surgery for a week. In that week he asked for his pain meds and they were never brought to him. The next time he requested his meds he had to go and get them himself because again they were not brought to him. When he was able to get up he asked for a towl so he could bathe and they said they didn't have any towls for 2 days so he had to dry with the paper towlels they have hanging above the sink. He asked for ice water and none was ever deleivered. I would not put a dog in that place. They are the worst."

"My husband was at Health South Rehab for a period of time on a rehab mission and it was a nice facility. One negative that I found was the complete and total lock down of the front doors, the exit and entrance, at a certain time. It made me very nervous to think if my evening visit was running long, I would get to the lobby the doors might be locked, so I’d have to find somebody to let you out. The facility was very nice. The rooms had adequate, reasonable space. The nursing staff would take him, in a wheelchair, to and from his room to physical therapy, for instance, but they would also have to take him to the dining room. The layout for me was troublesome because I have COPD and I’m on oxygen, so everywhere I go and whenever I go to visit him, I’m holding an oxygen tank. And it was a considerable distance between the patient’s room to the physical therapy department and even farther to the dining. Once I got there and sat down and rested for a few minutes, they had multiple, excellent choices for food, and a visitor could just pick and choose, too. My husband’s meals were already determined because of his diet needs, but I could go to the cafeteria and order and pay for my food. It was excellent. "

"Dogwood is extremely friendly, and clean. They didn’t have a stove, washer, or dryer inside the room. Other than that, the place is fabulous. "

"My father is currently at Envoy of Woodbridge. The facility is outstanding, and the staff is fantastic. They treat me very nicely. Their dining area is outstanding. I haven’t tasted the food, but my father seemed OK with it, and to me it looked good. They do a variety of activities from what I could see. They have games, and the time I was there I saw that they have a TV for football. I would recommend this facility to anyone. "

"My son is at HealthSouth. They’re great and doing everything they can to rehabilitate him with therapy five hours a day. They have a common dining room. I don’t know how the food is since I haven’t tried it, but he seems to like it. The patients select what they’re going to have at the next meal. At the previous meal, they bring out a menu with a selection of quite a few items. They can either go to the dining room or eat in their room. My son has only been there for a few days, so he has been eating in his room. Overall, there’s nothing to improve on. They’re doing their jobs. Their staff is friendly and seems to be working hard. "
