"We liked Golden View Health Care Center of all the ones we've seen. It's assisted living with some memory care. It's got three units, and we visited The Terrace. They told us that because we were looking at both of them, my husband would have a shorter wait to get in probably. It's very lovely, clean and well decorated. The people that you see are very friendly and very open. The person who did our tour, I know her job is to encourage people to have their care there, but she's a very bright and articulate person and did a great job answering all of our questions. We didn't try eating there, but we liked the dining room. The menus had a nice variety and good choices. The fact that there are things like snacks available almost any time of the day or evening is nice. There was a country-western singer that was there, and people had gone to hear him. Their activity board had a lot of different activities. The rooms we went into, the bathrooms and showers we went into, and the public areas all looked really good."

"Kendal is a wonderful retirement community. I was impressed with both the professionalism of the staff and the attentiveness of every employee we encountered. They seem to strive to know their residents and provide a safe environment. Even the food was wonderful! The location is beautiful and I can't imagine a better place to receive both the care and concern needed at this stage of life. It is always difficult to face the decison on where to have a loved one relocate. My Grandfather had no desire to move from his home, but it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to live on his own. With the visits to several homes in the area, we seemed to be getting the same "hospital" feeling and watching people that seemed abandoned. We did not want him to feel this way. Kendal was a very different experience and was very warm and inviting. Within the first half hour, he had found people to share war stories and seemed "at home". It was a wonderful thing to see and gave us some piece of mind with the decision we had to make. It truly is a wonderful place! "

"My mom is at Hanover Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center. Their short-term rehab is nothing I have ever seen. It's amazing. Physically, it's not in a flashy facility, but they have an excellent short-term rehab therapist. The staff is very friendly and genuinely caring. They have everything in-house that you need. Based on the equipment and everything, they can pretty much do what a hospital can do."

"My Dad has been there for a couple months for PT etc and has been well taken care of. I/We cannot thank his nurses there enough. Each staff member I encountered treated not only my Dad but me with respect etc. Thank you for what you all do!"

"I toured Grafton County Nursing Home. It looked very nice, but I didn't go with that place because it's too far from my house. It's also way out in the country, and I lost cell phone signal through most of my journey there. It's almost an hour away. It looks very nice, the rooms were long, there were two beds to a room, and they were arranged head to foot with space in between. They're nice rooms, there's a nice living area, and a nice dining area. The staff was very helpful. There's a living room in each wing, with a TV, so people can mill around, sit, and be comfortable. There was a circular pattern where people could walk, people with dementia who tend to wander could walk around, the living room areas were in the center, and the rooms to the side. I think it's very good for people with dementia. The staff was very good with the people. Watching the staff, they were just terrific with the people that were wandering around."
