"My husband was at Emmanuel Nursing Homes on and off for five months, and I really liked their TCU. They had very nice private rooms with lots of space. They had a really fantastic physical therapy area and PT staff and a beautiful chapel. Their long-time cook retired, so it's not quite as good as it was before, but it's OK. If you need physical therapy, it's an excellent place to choose. There was a swimming pool, daily activities, several courtyards to walk in, music groups coming in, and games."

"My father-in-law is at Essentia Health-Oak Crossing. They have single rooms and double rooms for the residents. There are a lot of staff. The staff is very caring. They spend time building relationships. The facility is very clean and updated. The rooms are very nice in size. It's a very homey feeling. They have multiple daily activities. They have bingo, and people come in and play music. They have a chapel and ice cream socials. They take the residents out in the summer for different events."

"Overall I would highly recommend considering this facility if you are looking for a good alternative to standard apartment living. I visited this facility weekly for over a year to see my grandmother and the staff of the facility were always cheerful and inviting. My grandmother was extremely happy with the care that she received, and I genuinely feel that it improved the quality of her life. She was living with us before she moved to the facility and had very little interaction with people of her own age demographic prior to moving to the Frazee Care Center. The ability to meet and speak with people of her own age on a daily basis seemed to greatly increase her outlook on life. The facility itself was nothing overly fancy, but it seemed to be well maintained and always clean. The room my grandmother stayed in was very nice, providing everything she needed to remain independent. However, when she did need help there was always somebody on staff that could be in her room within seconds. Both my grandmother and my family were happy with her stay at this facility. "

"I am a resident of Sunnyside Care Center. I'm getting very good care. I have no complaints about my care. It's pretty exceptional. I'd been in a couple of other nursing homes, and this one is out of the way. They answer promptly and try to do whatever they can to meet my needs. I just have no complaints at all. They're very friendly and accommodating. Most of the time I enjoy their meal. It's clean. It's a very homey nursing home. They have various activities. They have various music and Bible studies which I enjoy. They have nail care, which I enjoy, too. I have a large group of ladies, we met once a month for many years, and so when I got into the nursing home, I asked them if I could have a room available to have that. They made it available to me and accommodated them with coffee and water and whatever we needed, and it's a private room. My cares are all being met, but it's expensive."

"I went to Pelican Valley Health Center for my parents. The staff was great. The rooms were good. Our parents are both in wheelchairs, so we felt like it might be a little tight quarters for the rooms that we got to see. But I think their care will be really good. It's expensive, but I think it would be worth what you're getting. We'll have to revisit it again. The hard thing is we need a two-bedroom, and it's quite a long waiting list to ever get that. So, those are some of the things that lead us to not go yet. I like the staff. They were friendly and helpful. The place was warm and inviting. There were people in the kitchen, people that live there, they were super friendly, so it was very welcoming."
