"My son is staying in Maison De Lafayette for long-term care. When he was first admitted, he had someone else in the room with him but they found a private room, a single-person room, and they moved him in that. It's a nice room and it's homely. The place is outstanding, it's very clean. It is a huge facility but his room is always very well maintained as well as the surrounding areas. I'm very lucky to be able to put him there. I'm also very well satisfied with the treatment that my son has received as well as the facility and their employees."

"My mom is a resident at River Oaks Retirement Manor. I'm very impressed with it. It is an older place, but it is very well maintained and well cared for. I'm also impressed with the staff. They are superb. From the staff who cleans the room, the people who do the therapy, the nurses to CNAs, they are all very diligent and appear to be devoted. I have yet to encounter anyone who has not been fully up to the task. The food is definitely a plus. My mom has gone from pureed diet back to solid diet within the last week or so, but with the two or three meals I had eaten with her, I was very impressed with the food. For activities, they'll have group therapy where they throw a ball around and some bingo. Mother's Day was very nicely done with live entertainment."

"This is nursing home/assisted living facility that is maintain mostly by retired nuns. The nursing and care facility is very well kept and the certified nursing assistants adhere to a strict policy when it comes to taking care of the residentd here. Many of the residents here all also retired nuns that merely cannot care for themselves. With that being said, the staff and the residents usually a familiar with one another prior to the resident being admitted to the facility. Also the staff at this facility is aged and can be quite set in there ways when it comes to healthcare. On the down side, the rooms are for a single resident but are very small and difficult to maneuver through when needed. "

"I had placed my mother in Amelia Manor Nursing Home. I like the way the staff care about my mother. The staff are fantastic. I have not tried the food, but my mom tells me that the food is really good. She had one complaint about a tuna fish sandwich, she didn't care for it, but other than that, she said the food was good, and she highly praised the people there, saying that they're really good there. It's an older building and it could use a little updating, but other than that, I have no complaints. They're very clean. For activities, they have bingo, they have coloring, and they have two church services on Sunday (a Catholic service and a non-denominational service). They have outings to Wal-Mart, too. I don't pay anything. It's Medicaid and Medicare graded. My mother is on Medicaid and Medicare. "

"I had an aunt in Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation - Franklin 2 years ago. The staff was very caring. They treated her like family, and she loved them. She loved being there. The facilities were very clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. She received excellent care there. There was a lady that came in who was a hair stylist. She offered haircuts and styles to the residents. There was an outside seating for them as well. I don't know if you'd call it a courtyard, but they have it. My aunt enjoyed their food. They were on top of making sure everything was maintained. The staff was really committed and really good."

Its a Catholic facility, and my mom was a very religious person. It's a nice thing because the priests go there every Wednesday for a Mass. She's still on the adjustment person but she's happy and satisfied. "
