"The Rayne Guest Home was one of the nursing homes that my sister first went into. They caught her smoking and had no recourse but ask her to leave. And they gave her a lot of chances to quit smoking, but my sister was determined. The staff was very nice. They really tried their best to take care of the residents, but there were some lapses with the care. I knew of a few residents that were left to their own for a while, so I think this is what they need to improve on. "

If Dad had been bedbound or less disabled in dementia, it would have been good. They were very kind and very helpful. They never avoided us, but everything was good. They were very engaging. It was very clean and very fresh. All the staff that walked through didn't ignore us. They greeted us and were very kind and asked if we needed help. It looked like a good place. They just didn't have the skill level necessary for my dad's needs. Other than that, they seem to be very, very good."

"Belle Teche Nursing Home treated my father in law excellently. He lived the last 2 months of his life there. The move was very traumatic for him but they helped him fairly quickly to adjust. They were very helpful and they took care of getting rid of his personal belongings. They treated him very well and he liked it there. We had a very positive experience there. "

"My father is currently at Southwind Healthcare & Rehabilitation. So far, our experience has been good. They're very quick to inform me of any change in my father. If he has a fall or anything that's out of the ordinary, they usually give me a call. They keep me apprised of any changes in his behavior, appetite, or anything else like that. They're usually very good about that. When I visited inside before, it was very clean and not very smelly like a nursing home. It's a very good setting for him. It's a nursing and rehab place. They just can't give him the one-on-one quality. They're taking care of him as best they can, but they can't spend quality time with him like he needs because of how many people are in the community. They've been very limited in activities because of Covid. They normally have activities, but I haven't seen any yet. Because of Covid, there's been a lot of restrictions. They have to keep the community pretty much apart. To me, they're quite expensive But for the level of care that they provide, the value for money is probably about average."

The place is great. They're very engaged with his care. It's very clean and fresh. The meals seem to be very good, and they are served on time. The staff members are very engaging and very kind to my father. We're very happy with it. We've been here every single day. We're very satisfied with all aspects of it, from the administration to all the care. They have activities to do. My dad is kind of past the activities, but they sit at the table with him all the time, and they keep him engaged with them. Every time we go here he's sitting with staff."

Its a Catholic facility, and my mom was a very religious person. It's a nice thing because the priests go there every Wednesday for a Mass. She's still on the adjustment person but she's happy and satisfied. "
