Front the start, the director Mr Franks was so kind, informative, communicative and just helped in such a compassionate way. The resident care coordinator was phenomenal and put my aunt (who’s on hospice) at ease. The building is lovely and clean. Jessica the business director is so kind and helpful. Dwayne makes delicious well balanced healthy meals. My aunt raves about the nurses, recreational events and alway talks about how happy she is. She adores Brook and Maria so much! This is the place to put your loved ones if need. They will have happiness, peace and comfort.

We have placed my sister in The Landings of Smithfield. It seems to be a nice place, and she feels safe. She's in assisted living with hospice care brought in. It's very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful in leading me through this process, and my sister gets what she needs there. If she needs assistance, she also gets that. A lot of these places will increase the price per month, depending on the level of care. This place is all-inclusive, and the price doesn't change if her care progresses. She hasn't ventured out to do some of the activities, but they have an activity room and a courtyard that is completely secured. You have to get buzzed in to even get into the facility, so the safety is very good. They have a dining hall, and as far as I know, she's been eating the food so there's not too much to complain about.

My husband stayed at The Landings of Smithfield. I loved the director. She was as sweet as she could be. The staff was sweet, but I didn't see the care for the residents there. They would walk in and try to give him his meds, and if he wouldn't take it, they just walk out. As the day went on, he escalated because they didn't try to give him his medicine. He didn't get the care. I went every day. I had to take him food every day because he would not eat their food. The food was horrible. It was cold. Breakfast was cold, lunch was cold, and supper was cold. His room was always a mess and I always had to clean it up. They didn't stay on top of it. Every time I went to look for somebody, they were all in the activity rooms and all the staff was on the phone. Most people in there were in wheelchairs, not verbal, not walking around. My husband was verbal and he walked around. I think he was too much trouble for them. The facility was beautiful, that's why we chose it. It was recommended to us. I had paid for him to have a haircut, but he never got it. I also paid for physical therapy there, which he never did. I was just very disappointed in the place. The money was perfect. It was very reasonable. It was a great price for a place that beautiful. I just think they need more experienced workers there because I don't think these young girls knew what in the world they were doing in there for memory care. It's challenging and I don't think they knew how to handle it. It was the best one for the price, but he didn't get the care that he needed.

The Landings of Smithfield was well-kept and clean. The staff seemed to be appropriately working. The executive who assisted me with the tour was very pleasant, very friendly, courteous, and professional. They had a TV room and they had games for the memory care residents. They had outdoor seating, too.

My mom is a resident of The Landings of Smithfield. It's very nice and is practically new. Everyone's nice. My mother seems to love them, and they seem to love her. They're looking after her, so it is great. It's within 30 minutes of us, and we've never looked at anything. It is beautiful, clean, and nice. It is not a whole lot more money than we were paying at another facility before.
