I highly recommend Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle for anyone in need of senior living. My mother has been a resident here for several months and during this time she and our family have been treated with nothing but respect, compassion, and warm smiles from every single staff member we've had the pleasure of working with. The marketing director, Stacey, goes above and beyond in making the transition of moving as smooth as possible. The nurse, Dawn, did a very thorough job during the move-in interview and continues to be involved in my mother's care. I have personally seen the kitchen and direct care staff members go above and beyond for the residents here. The office staff is always very friendly and easy to work with when it comes to the financial pieces. We regularly receive communication from the office staff and activity director to keep the families informed of goings on in the facility. This is one of the more established communities in this area and despite its age I would choose them again and again in lieu of the several new and shiny communities that have just been built around here. My mom is so happy here and looks forward to the many activities that are consistently planned for the residents. I couldn't be more thankful that we have found a place that she can call home in her golden years. We look forward to working with Arbor Landing for as long as we can and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Rooms are also very spacious for the monthly cost.

Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle has excellent administrative support and it's an excellent facility. They have large rooms and a lot of communal rooms. It looks like they don't pack people into tiny rooms to put more people there. They have lots of separate community rooms to do activities together. My dad even mentioned how much he liked that when we toured. We ate lunch there with the lady who showed us around, and the food was excellent.

My mother loves Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle, but she also realizes that she is going to be far away from her kids. It looks really clean. It is a nice size, and it's by the ocean. Everything is perfect. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming. The layout for the one-bedroom is perfect, too.

We have been searching for a new facility for our friend who’s currently at another facility in Shallotte. This place was bright and welcoming. They seem to have a lot of events going on when we visited on the weekend, compared to the current place our friend is at now. Ton of staff and welcoming, a lot of happy faces.

We toured this facility over this past weekend. It definitely is dated, but had a good energy and the staff seem attentive towards the seniors what we observed. The food smelled good and there were a lot of seniors gathering to go into the dining rooms. Disappointed that they have a 2 year waiting list for their assisted living and longer for their memory care. They only have 24 rooms in assisted living and 14 rooms in memory care. They do have an independent living with added services, like an assisted living but not really. No real supervision like the assisted living and the prices are higher then the assisted living if you were to look at the extra help. Walking from the cottage to the main building is a bit far for our Mom. Definitely need something within the main building but nothing available. They don’t see expansion until after 2026. Disappointing.

Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle was a great facility, and I'm leaning towards them. The tour was very extensive. I think one of the things right off the bat was finding out that there were people who had been there for quite some time. There's not a high turnover of their staff. There's quite a number for each person there. It was a beautiful place. I was very pleased with everything that I saw. Actually, I got to observe some of the staff interacting with the residents and staff, so I was greatly impressed. The facility was nice, clean, very modern, and had great décor. All of the staff members were very knowledgeable. The lady who gave me the tour was very personable and friendly. She could answer anything. There were several residents walking around, watching TV, and stuff. All seemed to be very well dressed and presentable. When the residents needed them, there was always somebody close by.

Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle was very clean. It had a lot of amenities. The staff was amazing. The one thing that I liked about it was they have kept most of their staff since they opened, which means they take good care of their people. Usually if you have a happy staff, they in turn do a good job and take good care of the residents. They showed me a menu. I liked the fact that they have a la carte choices, if you don't like the menu for that particular meal. I toured the studio apartment, and I also saw a 1-bedroom apartment. They were very well done. They had bingo going on while I was there. There were people in the exercise room. They had physical therapy on-site, which was great. They had a hairstylist/barber shop. They had transportation to take them to grocery stores.

Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle was great, but it's not something that my parents can afford. It was a place that I would put my parents in if they could afford it. In the independent living, they had a small cooktop and a small refrigerator. There's a little kitchenette, which was very nice. The bathrooms were great. There's plenty of room. The staff was very helpful and very knowledgeable.

Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle is an older community, so it didn't have that brand new, spiffy, and beautiful look to it. The staff was excellent and answered all our questions. They've since put in some little cottages that are independent living there. They're certainly growing and changing. I saw a 1-bedroom, which is on the small side. There's not a lot of closet space and no full kitchen (just a tiny utility like kitchen). The gal that toured us through was very helpful, answered all our questions, and was very knowledgeable. The location is good. It's on a major road and easy to get to. I saw the dining room. I saw the library. Everything I saw was adequate.

My father moved into Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle about four or five days ago. I think it looks very pretty, and it almost looks like a hotel. It is very pretty. The hallways are wide and carpeted. My father went into memory care. The room is lovely. It was freshly painted, so it looks very nice. We went in and decorated. I know the all the employees eat the food so it must be okay. The food smelled good at lunch. I did not eat there, but it sure smelled good. They have common rooms. They have an arts and crafts room, and they have a social room where they can watch television. My father is in memory care. He is not in independent, nor assisted. They have those rooms, plus they have an outside area where he can go. The service dogs are there on a Friday, so he can pet the dogs. They can go out in the sun, but it is enclosed so they cannot get out. I know that they do arts and crafts. They also go get them ice cream from the van. I know they go outside to do gardening because they have a little garden. They have an activities director there. The place is very lovely.

My parents were very impressed with the staff at Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle. It was very nice. It had an opportunity for my father to receive some additional care if needed. The only problem is the rooms were a little small. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. They showed me a two-bedroom, a one-bedroom, and the dining area. They're all very nice, but the amount of living space was not what they were looking for. They had transportation, activities planned for them outside, and three meals a day.

Arbor Landing was not close to where we live, but the rooms were excellent. They had a video room with DVDs, plus normal activities as you would expect. They had outings and a lovely dining area. It was very good and very nice. The residents looked very content and happy.

Arbor Landing was excellent. Janet -- the director -- was excellent, beyond helpful, and professional. Our frustration is my mother doesn’t want to relocate down there next to our house, so she is probably not going there although we want her to. We were very impressed with the employees and the facility. The dining area was very neat, clean, and fresh. The whole place was great. We’re hoping my mother changes her mind, and we’ll go there. The pricing for us was well below the facility that she set into at Reilly, so it was very good for us at all counts. It’s very quiet and private. There’s not an excess of activity that I have seen at other places because sometimes when you deal with an elderly member of the family, you want some privacy.

My mother right now is in Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle. The people working there are very friendly, very helpful, and very nice. Her room is big enough. She has a one bedroom with a little sun at the end, and she has kitchen table. The price is average. They have a salon, a card room, an exercise room, a party room, and a movie room. They have a guest bathroom so the guests do not have to go the bedroom. They have a nice dining-room with a fireplace. They have a lot of activities. They have bingo, coloring, singing, and exercise. They have very excellent help there, and the residents are very nice.

We are considering Arbor Landing for our parents. They are living independently now and both drive, but after one fell and was unable to get up we realize it is time to have assistance closer than 30 mins away. My sister and I went there without an appointment to check it out and were warmly welcomed. After a brief chat, questions were answered and a tour, we were invited to bring our parents there to visit and have lunch the next day. We arrived for lunch and were shown to our table where we were served a nutritous and tasty lunch. We then received a complete tour of the apartment options, the library, the theatre, the fitness room, the nurses office and the craft room. The schedule of activties was full with a wide variety of choices to meet the needs of many different interests. We are very impressed with the cleanliness of every area ang the friendly staff and residents we met. Not one person came by without speaking to us. It is not easy to make this move for anyone, but we feel that Arbor Landing is a wonderful selection for our parents.

I am a resident of Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle. Since I do not require health or medical services, I can only rate the housekeeping and food services. The employees in these two disciplines are good. The dining services is hampered by the budget restrictions. The food is properly prepared but the quality of the food purchased is poor to fair.

Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle is in a beautiful location. It has services if need be as far as assistance with bathing and medications if necessary. All meals are also included. They have a full-time nurse that is there and nurse assistants. They have a movie theater, workout room, craft room, and they also take the residents to places. They also take the residents to doctors that are within a 30-mile radius if they need help with that. My mom has been there now for four months, and she loves it there.

Arbor Landing was very nice. I didn't see any problems with it. It's an absolutely beautiful facility, and the people who work there were willing to work with my mom's needs. She's an insulin-dependent diabetic, and she needed, 10 minutes, four times a day, for someone to come in to help with her injections. They were going to help me with that and worked out an affordable package for her. They were just terrific. The facility looked very independent, very homey, non-institutional-like. There's a lot of nature around there, and everything is bright and clean.

Arbor Landing is just a couple of miles to my home. It was an absolutely beautiful facility. It was brand new and it had only been opened for a year or two. The dining room was pretty. They did have a nice screened-in porch. Regarding their accommodations, their rooms and everything looked great. For their residents, they did have activities but I don't remember specifically what they were. They did have a gym room and a couple of other things there. They would provide three nice meals a day. They showed me a copy of the menu and it looked very nice. Overall, it was a lovely facility, I just can't get my parents to go there.

Arbor Landing is lovely but costs more. They have a homecare agency office in their building with a full time RN who directs care and several home aides that can be hired privately for the facility. It was relatively new, clean, and spacious but with grounds that were still under developed. It's quite a distance from anything else.
