My mother is in Snug Harbor on Nelson Bay. It is absolutely beautiful and the layout is perfect. The staff has been wonderful, helpful and very caring. Their dining area is separate from the main. There's a big one for the ones who just need therapy or a place to live and a smaller one for my mother. The food is delicious and accommodation is wonderful. They go to church and they had happy hour last Friday evening, but there's no alcoholic beverage. They had music and she got up and danced. They also have bingo.

Snug Harbor wasn’t quite what we’re looking for. There wasn’t anything negative except the overall atmosphere was not comfortable. Everything was great. They had everything, but they weren’t quite as active and lively and didn’t have a large population of independent residents, so there were not enough friends and not enough social activities. They did have arts, sewing, bingo, cards, church, a lot of visitor programs, and a lot of day trips.

This is a gorgeous facility! The staff was the best I have encountered anywhere, from admissions to the cleaning staff, they are all genuinely friendly, kind, and caring, and go the extra mile willingly and with a smile! The food was delicious, the facility is clean and there are constantly activities for fun and entertainment. I highly recommend this beautiful facility and am grateful for there kindness and care to my mother during her stay.
