My mom moved into the Edenton House. We are all 100% happy, and she is 100% happy with the way things are going there, and would you say ecstatic. Everyone that we've come in contact with the Edenton House has been very, very helpful, and very, very loving toward our mom. My mom seems to enjoy the food. Cleanliness is on the top of the list for us, it does not have a smell of anything but cleanliness, and everytime I go in there, they're cleaning. You see them cleaning everywhere, the floors, walls, bathrooms, constantly, I think they're all over the top of it, it's a good job. I know she has enjoyed being with crafts, she's always liked that kind of stuff.

I toured Edenton House. My feeling on that was a bit more positive than what I had with the other facility. The lobby area was attractive. Everything appeared to be clean, but I guess that's a clinical feeling, and it didn't feel like it could be construed as a home. This is a lobby area and this is the hall where the residents live, and it seems very much like a college dormitory. There were a couple of rooms where residents could gather, like communal rooms. I only saw them in one area where there was a television, so it appeared that most people stayed in their rooms. The rooms were pretty nice. They were fairly decent-sized rooms. I was mostly interested in a private room, so that's the one I really walked into and walked around. It seemed a bit worn. They had put a lot of thought into their activity, which I appreciated.

My mother was in Edenton House, but now she's back in the hospital again. She's got a room there. We chose this place because of location, what we needed in terms of accommodations, and their willingness to work with us. She was still in the process of assessment, so she didn't get to do therapy. They've been very accommodating while we've been there. The administrative staff have been very helpful to us getting her settled. My mom doesn't like the food. Everything that I've seen has been very clean and very organized. The patients all looked clean and not messy.
