"Pine Ridge Adult Care is an excellent place. I would recommend it to anyone. The staff is perfect. They take great care of my mom, they are very attentive to everything that she needs, and they're with her 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They live together like a family, and it's perfect, like she lives in a home. They share meals together. There are only 5 other people, so it's a perfect place for her. Whenever I go visit her, she always tells me how happy she is there. When I take her out, they welcome her when she comes back, and they give her a big hug. She's always happy to go back. She helps make dinner, and it's a beautiful thing. Mom's room is beautifully maintained. She has brand new furniture and a freshly painted room, with all the amenities in there that she needed. Any request I have, they take care of it immediately. They call me every other day to check in with me to let me know how my mom is doing. Their food is home-made, and it is always very good."

"I heard about Maplewood from a Caring representative. It’s brand new and absolutely beautiful. The dining room was exquisite, and the food looked very good for the patients. The grounds are beautiful and had beautiful surroundings. The people were wonderful to talk to. "

"My mother will be moving into Drum Hill. I thought it was terrific. Because my mother and I had our first vaccinations, we were the only ones who were allowed in. We had to wear masks, shields, and rubber gloves, and we were only allowed in specific areas where the community residents were not. I liked the precautions that they took for the residents, which allowed me to feel that they would care for my mother. The woman who really connected us works very hard to get a lot of financial assistance for the residents. She was terrific. There was a step program where if a resident aged into needing more assistance, there is nursing staff available. They have chair yoga, a library, a gardening club, a book club, an in-building shopping area, meals, a hair salon, a nail salon, a podiatrist, a physician, laundry services (but you can do your own laundry, too), transportation, and evening activities. They kept us separate during the tour just because of the pandemic situation. You couldn't go during the weekend because that's when their family members are there, so you could only tour during the week. I like the idea that the priorities of their residents came first."

"The Springvale has it’s pros and cons. The aide a little bit more than other assisted living facilities. If they need any help with anything, they have to pay a private person. They have limited activities; they don’t have a whole bunch of activities for people. I don’t think the staff interacts enough with people. I like that my mother has her own room, it's quiet, and it doesn’t have a hospital look. It used to be a hotel or an inn, and they converted it. The dining room has like a wall like of rocks in it, like an outdoor type of thing. They help my mom go to dinner, but half the time, she is in her room, and nobody is engaging her in anything. I would like it if they had more exercises, did more activities, and were more interactive. I think she spends too much time alone even though she is friendly with the people. My mother is not terrified to be there, she is comfortable and relaxed. "

"My parents are here. We opted for a smaller studio. It's pricy, but they also make three gourmet meals per day, so my dad doesn't have to heat the place with his oven. It's a studio, so it's a bedroom and living room and it was fully handicapped equipped from the bathroom and down the hallway. They all had hand railings the whole length. It's all made for the seniors. Our concern was to get them somewhere where they could be together and safe. They're on the first floor. We were thinking that with the shower being handicapped accessible, mom can roll her wheelchair right in there. She could take a shower in her wheelchair and then towel dry the wheelchair once she's transferred into her chair or something. We like the fact that it was so handicapped accessible and everything was ready to go. You can hire an aide and they may end up having to go that route just because my dad's not strong enough to do the shower transfer. In the shower, they have a foldable seat that's up against the wall, but you can lay it down. It's a seat, so if you didn't want to use a wheelchair, you could transfer to that, but my mom's occupational therapist didn't recommend my dad doing it because she was thinking of the full hazard of him not being strong enough. They may slip in there and the next thing, both of them go down. The salesperson is great. The general manager is great. They know the hundreds of people that are there by name. He knows everybody. They've been through the pandemic with the mask and everybody was probably wearing masks. They've been tremendous in trying to help my dad cope. It's pricy, but you get what you pay for. They've been talking highly about the food that it's so good. They have activities all over the place. The facilities are clean. They're actually in the process of renovating. They're gonna tear down some old wallpaper and paint the halls and everything like that. It's pretty good."

"My step-father was at The Pines for a few weeks for rehabilitation. He progressed rapidly with his rehab and seemed to like what was being done. When he pressed the call button for a nurse or aid, they came pretty quickly. The social workers sat and talked to me and kept me informed of his progress. When I asked for a lift bar to be attached to the bed so he could lift himself to get out of the bed, it was there and in place the next day. He did not complain about the food. There was only one nurse/aid that was rude. All the rest of them were very helpful and nice. The rooms are a little on the small side, but manageable. There were bags for laundry for each resident hung on the wall. He had clean clothes on every day. The place seemed clean and neat. Nothing got stolen or mysteriously disappeared as in other nursing homes, including his laptop and wallet. I would recommend this facility for others. The important part of having your loved ones in any facility is to visit them regularly and speak with the staff and social workers on a regular basis. "

"It was a very nice facility. Their activities were fine. They had an art studio and they had a lounge. They showed movies there. They had lots of programs. They had fitness programs and they even had a belly- dancing program. They had transportation that would take them anywhere they wanted to go. "

"My parents moved to PW five years ago. They started out in independent living with a lovely first floor apartment with a garden-view terrace. They greatly enjoyed the fine dining, afternoon teas, use of public space, and many cultural events. Mom joined clubs and committees and made many new friendships with both staff and residents. Dad eventually moved to Memory Care which was very well run. He is currently in the Long-term care at the Health center where he is also being looked after very well. After falling ill with PAH, Mom first used Residential in-apartment services before entering into long-term living in the Health Center. She passed away this summer after a one-year illness. Every step of the way, Mom was supported by a very caring staff, whether it was Nurses, Aides, Social Workers, Reception, Hostess/Waitressing crew, Maintenance or Housekeeping. Our family was kept advised of every important medical or emotional concern. Mom passed suddenly and quickly-- with loving caregivers by her side until family could arrive. We couldn't be more grateful."

"My Mom moved into independent living at Spring Meadows 6 weeks ago after looking at 5 other locations. She choose Spring Meadows based on the amenities it offered her. From my first interaction with management for her lease signing to her move in we found the entire staff friendly, helpful, supportive and compassionate. Although my Mom lives independently, she could no longer live alone and did not want to live with family. Spring Meadows provides everything she was looking for and peace of mind for me knowing she is cared for 24/7 if needed. I would recommend the facility and most importantly my Mom has happily adjusted to her new living arrangements. Thank you to all the Spring Meadows Staff who have made this possible."

"The person I visited at The Knolls really likes the place. It has a very big Olympic-sized swimming pool, and she is a swimmer, so she really loves that. She can drive her car and everything, so she is kind of on her own, and she likes that of course. She has a two-bedroom that has a really nice kitchen, and she can cook her own food if she wants. She has a washer and dryer in the bathroom, and there's one room that is set up like an office with a desk, and she can use that. I saw the dining room, but no one was eating in it. I didn't meet any staff, but my friend showed us the place herself. The facility is not brand new, but it's not really old either, so it's nice."

"I took a tour of Maplewood at Strawberry Hill, and it was nice. I have no issues with them, but my father needed more than they could provide. From what I saw, it looked nice and clean. Everybody seemed to be having a great time. I saw a few people watching movies, playing board games, and those type of things that keep people busy. Everybody was friendly. I didn't see any issues, nobody was angry, moody or any of that nature, and everybody seemed fine. It was an old building that they remodeled; it was nice on the inside, and the outside was clean."

"Maplewood was a new facility, very nice, and very clean. The staff was very helpful, and the residents showed us the rooms, which were very nice. They had full service on-site, a hairdresser, a pub, and transportation to local stores and stuff. "

"ludlowe center cares about their clients. The lady in the front office greets everyone and is always willing to make things right. The rooms are clean and beautiful. Some people complain about the food but I thought it was great. A great safe facility."
