"Waveny Care Center appears very nice and is kept well. There are many staff members including full time nurses throughout the night, janitorial staff, and other patient care staff. Given this, however, many of the staff, including the nurses speak with heavy accents which makes it hard for many of the elderly residents who are already hard of hearing to understand. Because of this, patient care is not as efficient as it could be. There are good aspects though. Each person staying in the facility has their own room with a bed, television, and bathroom. Having spoken to people currently staying there, they seem happy yet bored, and seemed all too eager to have a conversation with a complete stranger, me. "

Elderhouse, Inc. is a certified, medical-model adult day health care center that provides companionship and care for seniors, as well as a memory enhancement program for those with Alzheimer's, Lewy Body and other forms of dementia. A nurse is on staff six days per week to provide medical monitoring, and a staff nurse checks each member's blood pressure and weight and provides medication administration, wound care and glucose testing. The center's staff is trained to provide all levels of personal care, from basic supervision to hands-on assistance. The center also has a shower program for those who have difficulty bathing at home. Elderhouse, Inc. serves a light breakfast and complete noon meal daily, which are prepared on-site, with customized options for those requiring diabetic, low-salt, low-cholesterol and soft-food fare. Snacks are also served in the late afternoon. The center maintains a full calendar of engaging activities, including games, exercise programs, music, crafts and trivia. Transportation services are available.

"My grandmother is very much enjoying the environment. The staff is incredibly friendly and treat her with respect. She enjoys being able to socialize with the other residents and enjoys the planned events and games. She has access to many types of food which she enjoys and the facility is easy for me and other members of my family to access to visit her. The staff was also able to respond to questions about the area when we were searching for somewhere to take her on her day out. After losing her husband, she has had trouble being happy and making friends, but we are confident that this facility has restored her confidence. We would easily recommend this facility to anyone looking for an assisted care facility. We looked at many before this, and while we were impressed with some, this one offered the most amenities to provide her with a comfortable and enjoyable life. "

"My uncle is at this facility he loves it and the care is just outstanding. From the owners to Michael the administrator to Verisha the social worker I can go on. The Activies are amazing and they keep the residents engaged. There is a genuine care for the residents at this facility I would highly recommend place your family member here if needed. "

"My aunt is now at Mozaic Jewish Home. It is absolutely beautiful. It's gorgeous there. It's very clean, too. The food is very good. The staff is very nice. The building is brand new. There are a lot of amenities. You can sit and eat lunch with your family. It's really nice. They have a full rehab staff there. My aunt goes down for physical therapy every week. They have a salon, people come in and do music, they do bingo, and they have shows. There's a gift shop, too. When the other place got shut down, this is where they happened to put her. Then I just put the paperwork in to keep her there because it was so nice. The weekend staff can use a little bit of help, but the staff that is there during the week is lovely. Overall, I would have no problem sending anybody here. It's more expensive than most nursing homes, but it's worth the money. There are outdoor areas to sit with your family and everything."
