The Valley Residential Services is an excellent place. My mother-in-law is receiving assisted living care and has her own room there. The staff is very caring. It's not a large place and there are not a lot of people so she gets a lot of attention. They're very forthcoming with information. They call any time that anything seems different or if there's anything we need to know. I haven't tasted their food but my mother-in-law loves it so it's excellent. They also have a lot of choices. The facility is very maneuverable, very clean, open, and very bright. We haven't seen any activities because of the pandemic. We have to visit and stay in her room so the families aren't involved in the activities at this point. It's excellent so I would recommend it.

From what I have seen of Valley Health both personally and professionally I am convinced they provide the best care in the mohawk valley. Staffing on the residential rehab unit are attentive and truely care for the patients. There is alot of recreational oppertunities available to residents and they recieve excellent medical care. Professionally I have been in thier outpatient rehab clinic. I am sincerly impressed with the therapists and thier knowledge of thier skills.

Valley Health Services is a privately owned, not-for-profit organization in New York state's Mohawk Valley. Located in Herkimer, a small town of just under 10,000 people, the facility is nestled in a beautiful residential neighborhood that's close to Bassett Health Center and Little Falls Hospital.
Valley Health Services offers rehabilitation, palliative care, adult day health care, hospice care, and short-term care services. It focuses on the treatment of body, mind and spirit equally for optimal, healthy living. Customized occupational, physical and speech therapies are available to suit residents’ individual needs. A qualified nursing staff is available 24/7 and overseen by a full-time on-site medical director. The facility can accommodate up to 160 seniors.
Amenities at Valley Health Services are focused on optimizing residents’ health and enjoyment of life. The community features regular performances from an in-house bell choir. Special events, sensory awareness programs, bingo nights, musical programs and devotional services are organized in the activity room. Residents can also enjoy special gatherings in the family dining hall and socialize and connect in the spacious sunroom or the memorial garden and its gazebo.
