HORRIBLE PLACE TO REHAB! My mom had a fall at the end of Feb 2024. We "thought's The Pines sounded good for my mom...it wasn't!! They did very little actual rehab for my mom!! All they did was stick her in a wheelchair for hours OR keep her in bed!! Several times when I stopped by for a visit, her depends were soaked with urine!! The Director of Rehab was useless, and cared solely about the money!! They wanted my mom to stay 8 more weeks??? Why?? So they can get the $400 a day they charged Medicaid!! I did rehab myself for my mom in 2 weeks than they did in 5 weeks!! I absolutely would NOT recommend the Pines to anyone!!! The only bright spot was nurse Keona, LPN, who works on the second floor! She was great for my mom. She was the ONLY good thing about the Pines! I NEVER once saw a doctor to speak to in the 5 weeks my mom was there!! Again...this place solely cares about the money...not the patients!! Sad!!

my wife had a stroke, has no movement on left side. She had a band on her arm saying fall risk and it was in her medical record. The staff would put her in the wheelchair and park her in the hallway and forget about her and not watch her. 3 times I bitched about them not watching her because she almost fell out of the wheelchair. The 4th time I bicthed was when she did fell out and no staff told me about it. My wife had bruises and cuts on her legs. The whole place should be shut down. Everything about the place sucks.

This is truly the worse place for any kind of rehab. I hope anybody that is thinking of putting their family member or a loved one into this place, read this and thinks twice. My father went here from the hospital for rehab and came home practically an invalid. Instead of being treated like a rehab patient and given the proper therapy, he was treated like a nursing home resident. Which is very sad to say how they treat their patients. He only received therapy once a day and after therapy he was placed in bed or a wheel chair for the rest of the day. He was never walked to the bathroom, he was given a urinal or he would ring the light for an hour to be taken. He was never walked to his meals or on the unit, he was wheeled in a wheel chair. No therapy was ever provided on the unit. The nursing staff was sub par. When we addressed concerns they were never dealt with, nobody seem to know what was going on, we couldn't get call backs and were never updated on things. We had to repeatedly call them and would get no where. The Director of nursing and the administrator were of absolutely no help at all and very unprofessional. In my opinion this is the worse place to put anybody and would not recommend them. I wish we read their ratings and reviews before we put my father there. In order to submit this I had to rate it at least one star, but I wouldn't even give them that.

This is the worst place I have ever encountered. My step-father was a resident there for about 12 hours in February 2011, he was in decent health when entering the facility, he was there because of having a leg amputated below the knee, the head nurse that was on when he was admitted was less than personable, He came in after regularly scheduled meals so my mother asked them to get him something to eat but the head nurse said all they could get him was jello or pudding, he was diabetic he needed a meal, so we ended up going to a local restaurant and getting him something, when we left my mother asked the head nurse several times if she had the phone numbers and tried to get her to check but was just blown off. The last time we seen him at about 4pm he was a little agitated from the lack of interest in his well-being but other than that he was ok, well he ended up having a panic attack in the night and they could not reach my mother because they did not have the right phone numbers because the head nurse never bothered to check even though my mother asked them several times and ask them to check 3 or 4 times, he ended up dying in the hospital ER alone because no one at The Pines cared enough to open a folder and check a phone number, I would not send my worst enemy there.
