my stay at Ormsby was pleasant and a nice surprise. The staff was amazing and polite. They taught me how to find hope and strength in myself during my stay and helped me keep hope for the next journey in my life. The staff was respectful and upheld my goals/ and dignity as a person through my hard time. I would recommend Ormsby Post Acute to anyone who needs strengthening or recovery to stay at Ormsby.

This place just sent my mother in law home with bed sores, diarrhea, open incisions from surgeries she had before entering. She also had a random wound on her arm where a nurse cut her open on "Accident". She hasn't been bathed in the whole time she was there. Her hair is filthy and she still has iodine all over her from her surgeries she had almost a month ago. When you go there everything looks nice, but this is the reality of how she was being taken care of.

I had a family member at this facility who was not happy there. He passed soon after leaving. I have been trying to reach the office manager for a few days and the machine is full, she never answers the phone and the staff likes to put you on terminal hold. I hope someone who can run this facility steps In soon!

Please don't ever send me there again. PT is excellent. Everything else us horrible. Absolutely nothing happens on weekends. Food is horrible. I showered myself after having multiple surgeries. Terribly understaffed. There is ONE male nurse who cared, the rest would make you wait your turn for pain meds. Not when it was time for it but time when they would help you. I waited 2 hours for pain meds and this is 1 hour after they were due. In the meantime CNA'S came in 3 separate times to turn off the call button. You had better be in great shape when you go in because you will be in worse shape when you are discharged.

My father is in rehab at Ormsby Acute Rehab. It's great. The girls who take care of my dad are good, really friendly, and treat him really well. They are a little understaffed but all in all, my dad gets taken care of great. My dad is in a single room that's pretty big and nice. You can go and get your hair done there.

Was there 10 days NEVER WAS GIVEN A SHOWER; had to bet Occupational Therapy to assist with my shower. Food is awful, CNA's ignore your requests for help. Social Worker promised to have a transfer shower chair delivered, the delivery person did not know anything about it; so do not trust the Social Workers. RN's gave me injections without alcohol wipe. Need a pain pill, be sure to ask for one an hour in advance of getting one. Patients are grossly ignored, only a few CNA's care and are on the ball; the majority simply come to turn off your call light and ignore your requests. Physical Therapy and Occupational therapy is awesome and fun, they care and are true professionals. I had to waste my Occupational Therapy time, twice to get a shower because the facility apparently did not think it was needed for my care. I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE AND STRONGLY ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO CONSIDER ANY OTHER CARE FACILITY - CARSON REHB HAS AN EXCELLENT REPUTATION.

I have had 4 of my friends who unfortunately had to stay at Ormsby Post Acute Rehab facility in the last three months. Went to visit a couple of times and it is astonishing how poorly this place is run. You walk in and just wander around until you find either the room your looking for or ask one of the people behind a desk. And both times we asked they weren't sure where the person was. And one time they told us they weren't even there! She had been there for two weeks and is still there. One of our friends hated it so bad that he demanded they send him to Carson Tahoe hospital, which they did. However another person went to visit him and his name was still on the door of his room and when they asked the front desk where he was they stated he had to be around there somewhere. That person had been moved to Carson Tahoe Hospital two days prior! Then another friend of ours is there. He was there for three days before they put his name on the door of the room. This person is diabetic and needs insulin. They didn't give him any for two days! And because one of our other friends went in to visit and gave the staff hell they gave him his insulin! They also had not changed this poor mans bedding in a week. Again it got done because someone visiting went in and raised hell. I do not understand how this place is even allowed to take people. It's poorly managed. No one is taking care of the people in there. There is no security. How can facilities like Sierra Surgery Center and Carson Tahoe Hospital send people to this place. I have let my family know that I won't ever go in there.

Ormsby Post Acute Rehab seems understaffed, particularly on the weekend; most of the staff that do work seem desultory at best (my mom has to wait 10 to 15 minutes to be toileted--which could precipitate a bladder infection), except for the physical therapy team, who appear caring and competent, although the physical therapy equipment could use some updating. Patients don't seem to receive any physical therapy on the weekends, or social stimulation. The food is still wretchedly disgusting and patients are not given much choice in what they get to eat. The decor and cleanliness of the place is gross (puke yellow and gangrenous green walls everywhere). And when you call their main phone line, expect to wit 10 to 20 rings before anyone answers. I find the place depressing, cold, and in need of a slew patient advocates to look after the patients' rights.

Clients (Patients) are treated with kindness and respect. Ormsby Post Acute Rehab is very clean and the food is better than some of the restaurants in Carson City. There are a lot of activities for the clients to participate in, but they are not forced to do so. My Mother in Law has been here for over a year.

Not a very clean facility, Recent noravirus problem that was "cleaned up"? Dirty floors and shared rooms ( roommate left #2 in toilet). Not at all pleased with first visit.

My father-in-law is at Ormsby Post Acute Rehab. It is like $9,000 a month to stay there, but he has very good care and is very happy there. It is a very nice place. They take very good care of him. The food is OK. He did have occasional bad things to say about the food. He is currently going through physical therapy there. He has nurses and doctors watching him, and the people love him. He is a very nice old fellow, and he is very happy there.

Evergreen was very clean. The staff showed a lot of respect. They were very helpful and very knowledgeable. The patients were very kept up and they do had a lot of attention. It looked like they were handling them very well. They also had a special room for entertainment.
