My husband fractured his hip, and Ridge Crest Nursing Center was the only one that had a private room. My husband wanted a private room, and so we took him there. It was so horrible. After two days, he called me and he said, "Pick me up. I would rather live under the bridge." They were not nice. My husband was supposed to get his medication half an hour before it was time. Sometimes it would be over an hour afterwards when he was supposed to get it, and sometimes it was longer than that. The food was horrible, too. The staff was mad because she wanted my husband to sign a release saying that they were not liable for anything or whatever, and he refused to sign because he said they didn't do what they were supposed to. I wasn't there all the time, but I saw what I saw. I would push the button and push, and nobody ever came. When I picked him up to leave, I asked the staff if someone could help push him out in the wheelchair, and the woman in charge said that they're too busy. The only thing the staff members were concerned about was when they could smoke. They emptied the trash, but they never swept, mopped, or did anything.

The appearance of Ridge Crest Nursing Center seems to be pretty clean. They seem to manage it very well, they keep me informed about my father's condition, if he has any issues or anything, they let me know right away. I'm pleased with their services. They do have certain games, he loves playing his bingo there, and they do have several games that they engage with the residents there. The food was pretty good, they had decent breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He eats well, he likes his snacks, they help him with snacks, they have an account for each one, and cash funds so they can have treats of their own type, if they requested it. The staff that I've come in contact with were very good, professional, courteous, and very helpful when asked questions.
