My mother -in-law moved into Brookdale. We love it, and she's very happy there. We're very happy with the place we chose, and she feels at home there. It seemed more like a home to her than just a hotel, and all the people there have been really nice to her. She's had a little trouble adjusting, but they're coping with it really well, much better than our family is. We like the room. It's all been repainted, fixed, and everything is all up to date, nice, and was recently redone. They freshen them up really well. The facility is really good, they serve really good food, she really likes the people assigned to help her, and the dining area looks really nice. She's doing physical therapy there, and there's a nurse practitioner on call 24 hours a day, which is great. The facility looks old, but it's been fixed up. It's really nice when you go in because it's all decorated. If I had to stay somewhere, this is where I would want to stay. The residents are all nice, they greeted her when she moved in, and are happy to get a new person there; they really welcome you.

Brookdale Hattiesburg Assisted Living was adequate. The food servicemen and the housekeeping sounded good. There's a dining room and a little social room and it's alright. The staff was really good. I didn't see anything that was unkempt. The bedroom was just an open room. I didn't see a bed in it to give me a feel of how to maneuver a walker or a wheelchair. It's close to one of the hospitals. The restaurant district is a little further out.

I loved Brookdale Hattiesburg Assisted Living. My favorite part was that they have an honor wall that kind of honors veterans, and that got me a little emotional. The facility is very modern, up-to-date, clean, and welcoming, so I like that. The rooms had a very homey feeling. The bathrooms were very large. There was a good amount of closet space as well, and there was enough room to set up a bed, a small living area, and a small little dining area as well. I saw the menu while they were serving lunch. I love that it was like a dining experience where they got to choose from a menu of foods that cater to each individual. The dining area was very open, welcoming, and inviting. The menu was also very good. The outside was very well-kept. The landscaping was beautiful. The people were outside enjoying themselves with their pets, which was a big deal for me because my mom has a dog. Even with it being a pet-friendly facility, it did not smell like animals. There weren't any stains or anything like that.

I toured Brookdale Hattiesburg Assisted Living. I liked that the people were friendly. The place was clean. It looked like it was well-maintained, and it's in a quiet location. I really didn't see anything negative about it. The staff were very knowledgeable, very helpful, and could answer any questions. They seem to have everything that you could need to do assisted living there. They have a library, a meeting room, and a dining room.

The people I met at Brookdale Hattiesburg were all friendly and nice. The assisted living was a very pleasant and comfortable environment. It was very homey in the way the building was arranged, but the living quarters just didn't measure up to the others. So, it just didn't meet my mother's needs.

I toured Brookdale Hattiesburg, and everything was good there. I didn't have any issues there at all, it was a nice facility. They had a nice eating area and they had a lot on their calendar of events lined up for things you can do with everyone there. They had a little movie room and they had a crafts room. The lady who gave the tour was super, super nice and informative, they were all nice. The facility was very clean. They also play games with the residents.

The staff at Brookdale Hattiesburg was lovely. She really knows her business. I was very impressed. I looked at the menu, and it was very nutritious; it looked really satisfying to me. I liked it. When I get older and something happens, that's where I want to go. I would love that studio for myself, and it's big enough. The place was nice, clean, and fresh. The staff was very friendly. I have no complaint.

I enjoyed my tour of Brookdale Hattiesburg. The young lady that took us on the tour was one of the managers, and she was very helpful. She showed us the type of apartment that we were interested in and introduced us around to various managers and individuals, and showed us the amenities that we would have. The place was very clean, and the people seemed satisfied and happy with where they were. I didn't notice anything that's out of place there at all. I'm familiar with Brookdale because my son at one time worked there, so I know what goes on a little bit behind the scenes. I was not unhappy with my tour at all. I concluded from the tour more than anything else that I'm not quite ready. I certainly had no fault to find with it. I was looking more at independent living. I have no need for assistance. It's my husband who might have a need for assistance and I do most of the assisting for him. I realize that at Brookdale, we could get the amount of assistance that we wanted and still have our independence if we wanted that also. That's what I liked about it. I thought it would meet those needs if we made that decision, that I would be able to live as independently as I wanted to. They are mostly an assisted living place and I realized that. But what I also wanted in a place is not only assistance when I need it for my husband, but I could live independently and have a car, and come and go as I please. And they seem to be willing to accommodate that. I looked at a 1-bedroom apartment. It had a living room, a nice bathroom, a huge bedroom, and a small kitchen area. You're not able to cook, but they had a little refrigerator and a sink and stuff where you could make a bowl of cereal. They had a variety of rooms. I was only interested in the 1-bedroom, but they also had 2-bedroom apartments that they would let you look at, and they also had studios. The staff was very accommodating and the facility was very pleasant.

We visited Brookdale Hattiesburg. The lady who showed us around was very cordial, very thorough, and very informative. They had nurses on board 24 hours a day, meals were prepared and you just sit down in the dining room, and they had transportation to and from your doctors' visits or the hospital. It was newer and we liked them the best of all that we have seen so far. Everything including the grounds were nice.

As a sitter here at Brookdale of Hattiesburg, I must say that this is a great place for Seniors to live. Sandy Fairley, Director, is a great leader and I've always been told that you are as good as your leader. She not only interacts with the residents but the staff as well and she goes beyond the call of duty to ensure both needs are met. The staff enjoys working with the residents and performs task/s for them as well. I must say, the kitchen staff can COOK. The food is very tasty and good!!!! I enjoy sitting here as well as volunteering. Many Hugs to Brookdale staff: Theresa

Brookdale Hattiesburg was a little bit less posh looking. But it looked like it was actually set up better for taking care of people with Alzheimer's. They had a lot more people there out and about. It looked like there's more socialization and more activities for people with Alzheimer's.

We visited Brookdale Hattiesburg. I was very impressed. It was a good place. If I were ready to go into one, I imagine it would be that one. I liked that it was clean and that the people were so friendly. The lady that worked in the office was just excellent with the residents. We ate lunch with her, and the meal was delicious. They said all of the meals were the same. We were very pleased.

We are very happy with it. When we went there, the residents seemed to be happy, and the food was good; that's why we chose this place over others. Also, my father loves it. They do offer activities, even though my dad doesn't participate in them. He mainly likes to sit in his recliner and watch westerns on TV. We had to get special channels so that he can get his westerns. Some of the residents do have pets there. The place seems pretty clean to me. The best thing about this place is that they seem to truly care for the residents. This place helps me to relax and not worry about my dad so much. He has someone watching him, getting his medicine, and making sure he has food to eat. Also, my dad says the food is very good.

My mom is here. The staff seemed concerned about the people who lived there. There room is like a hotel room. It has a bathroom and small kitchen area, a refrigerator, a double bed, and a television. It's very nice. They have a lot of singing and they got bingo. They travel around sometimes, but my mother is not too active with their activities. So far I have no complaints about the place.
